I recently stayed at Hotel JP Palace in Mysore and overall, it was a mixed experience. While the location of the hotel is quite convenient—close to major attractions and easily accessible—the condition of the rooms left much to be desired. The fittings in the room were old and in need of maintenance. The bathroom mirror had lost its back polish, which gave it an unclean appearance, and the commode fitting was loose, making it uncomfortable to sit. The TV and cable service were also outdated and offered very limited entertainment options. On a positive note, the service staff was exceptionally helpful and courteous, which made the stay more pleasant. The food served at the restaurant was delicious and well-prepared, and this was definitely one of the highlights of my visit. In terms of pricing, I found it to be just okay overall. However, the rates were noticeably higher over the weekend, which might not offer the best value for money considering the room conditions. With some renovation and modernization, the hotel could provide a much better experience. Until then, I’d say it’s good for short stays primarily due to its location and staff, but the rooms need serious attention.

The property location was good. Room was comfortable, neat and cozy. Check-in was smooth and welcoming. Though the property was bit old they are trying to maintain it but the tag ITC doesn’t work. Housekeeping was ok. There was a nice swimming pool, as we didn’t use it no comments on its quality. In the restaurant the food options are fair enough. Certain items were exceptional but certain items were nowhere to its taste as it should be. The restaurant staff were concentrating only on cleaning the plates and table. They very much lack in supporting the guests. Welcome drink was good but later we could see the drinks were filled in the glasses and kept open in one side of the lobby. Parking assist was good. Luggage handling was also good. Sure to visit again.

I was overall satisfied with my stay at Fortune JP Palace. The check-in, billing, and related processes were smooth, and the staff were courteous and helpful throughout. However, I did find the rooms towards the back side a bit cramped. For this price range, you wouldn’t typically expect another large building right next to your window, which affects both the view and the sense of space. The rooftop offers a lovely view — definitely a highlight of the property. The restaurant, though decent, needs to improve how it manages guest flow, especially during peak occupancy. During sold-out phases, the experience felt a bit chaotic and could be better organized. Overall, a decent stay with a few areas that could be improved for a more seamless guest experience.

The positive aspects- 1. Relaxing atmosphere: It was peaceful,serene,and conducive to relaxation. 2. Skilled therapists: the skills and treatment was overwhelmed. 3. Specific treatment:(i) The massage, facial,body wrap was beneficial. (ii) The deep tissue massage really worked out the knots in my back. 4. Cleanliness and hygiene. 5. Professionalism of staff. "I had a wonderful experience at JP Palace Spa.The ambiance was incredibly relaxing, creating a peaceful atmosphere.The entire staffs were very attentive and professional,making me comfortable and free well-cared. I highly recommend this spa for anyone looking for a rejuvenating experience".

On an online platform they called the hotel is five star category. The entrance and hotel structure looks like a palace. But the room is like a four star hotel. The room where we are stayed had a gap at the bottom of the main door. Outside people's voices are headed in the room. Food is excellent. All over the experience is good.

I am staying her after a long time, and it did not disappoint me. These days, getting a room here is indeed difficult as it is a very sought after property. The food as usual was too much delicious with a wide bfast spread. I could still see a couple of employees here whom I had met almost a decade back- happy to see them again. This reflects the policy and legacy of the hotel towards its employees. Given a choice and availability, will surely visit again.

The hotel is located on the main road with easy access. The property seems to be old and well maintained. Rooms are spacious and provided with all amenities and facilities as would be expected from a hotel in this category. We had only breakfast in the restaurant- which was a good spread and a live kitchen serves hot coffee, dosas and eggs to order. The restaurant space is a bit congested. The staff is courtesies and prompt. We had a disturbed night as the guests in one of the neighbouring room decided to have a late night party with music, dance and don’t know what. We had to call the reception multiple times to have this addressed with no action, finally we had to speak to the manager who came down personally at around 12.45 am and had this stopped. It will a good customer orientation if the hotel management could take steps proactively to avoid such inconvenience to guests.

We visited Fortune JP Palace, Mysore in the second week of March 2025 and stayed in two rooms. The hotel has an excellent location, making it easy to explore the city. The breakfast buffet was a standout—one of the best I’ve had in recent times, with a wide variety of delicious options. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, but the mattress quality was poor and should be replaced. There were issues with the room locks—the outdated system makes double-locking the door too easy, which can be inconvenient. Also, a surprise cake was arranged for us but never delivered, which was disappointing. In the restaurant, the staff seemed overwhelmed and less attentive at times, affecting the overall dining experience. However, a flautist playing live near the reception added a soothing touch to the ambiance. Overall, a great location and a comfortable stay, but service and certain amenities need improvement.
