NillI had the misfortune of staying in Hotel Brahmaputhra at Guruvayoor last week for three days starting 24Oct24. Parking is available and rooms are okay but the biggest pain point was their room service and rude behavior of the hotel staff. If you are staying in a deluxe room they will only provide restricted tea bags , coffee sachets and sugar sachets (only two sachets each). If you ask for few more be ready to be snapped at by the room service person. They will be very rude. Since we were 5 persons they booked us in two deluxe rooms and told us that three persons can stay in one deluxe room with extra bed. The normal deluxe room only accommodates two persons in the bed and the room has hardly any space for an extra bed on the floor. We decided to adjust to it as our intent was to visit and spend more time at the Guruvayoor temple premises. We had to keep asking them (or should I say beg) for extra towel, soap and tea bags for three of the occupants repeatedly and the room service/housekeeping initially refused to provide us extra towel stating it only provides two towels per deluxe AC room as per hotel rules. If you want to feel unwelcome and curse yourself for staying in such a hotel, do it at your own risk. I checked and found later that there are better hotels at Guruvayoor for your convenient stay. They do not have restaurant or food supplied to the occupants, you need to go outside for any meals/breakfast. The only benefit is it is close to East entrance of the Guruvayoor temple complex.

NillSince its a very small visit the hotel especially with its Great location is a no Brainerd, the staff and the ambience in the hotel lobby is also good. The AC rooms are ok with good cooling & is neat. However the Non Ac Rooms are really very very tiny and I won't recommend it anyone except some solo people for jus getting fresh. The location is really good and can park some 4-5 vehicles which is an added advantage

NillI just don't want to give even one Star for this hotel. We booked 2 non ac rooms about 3 weeks ago via phone and they wanted an advance of Rs 500/- for room booking. We paid the same and booked 2 rooms. They called us 2 days before for the confirmation. Again they called the next day for the same. In the evening they called again and said there is no non ac room available due to some power issue and agreed to arrange a 3 bed room and a single room or would arrange rooms in some another hotel next to this hotel. We agreed to the first condition. We reached the hotel at 12.15 am with my 5 month old baby. There was one another man for check in and we have to wait about 45 minutes. After that the receptionist said that there is no room available and the 3 bed room is premium ac and accommodate only 3 person. We agreed to take it. Then he told us it's better we move to hotel Lakshmi near to this one. After long arguments, we have to move to there as my baby started crying because of tiredness after long train journey. They didn't ready to show us the power failured room. The arranged hotel was a local one and we have to adjust it the whole night. Next day the receptionist of hotel lakshmi told us that hotel brahmaputra got bulk booking so that they didn't give rooms for us. It's all about money making and nothing else. They never keep their words and have no mercy or humanity. What if it's a busy day and there is no rooms available nearby?? What will we do with small baby on such a rainy day?? Why do they want advance booking money for not keeping their words?? If my baby is not with us on that day, we Will definitely go to police to file a case for cheating. So please don't trust this one you may have to roam even in the midnight with luggage and children!!!

NillWe spent two nights in Brahmaputhra and l must say that everything was excellent. The location of the hotel is quite close to Guruvayoor temple as well as railwaya station and bus stand . Rooms are excellent and surprisingly comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other having a temple trip.

damn it
NillRoom was neat, but the bed was average. ..the stay could have been memorable but for grumpy attitude of the reception staff. Please be more considerate and smiling to the guest! The watchman had displayed more friendliness than inside staff!🤗

NillMust share this is an incident, a very bad experience just because of a lady staff seated in the reception and I just happened to meet her today , two hours back before my check out time requesting for an hour extension,if possible..While our talk from start this one lady whom I was speaking to , was really really rude and unprofessional.I can see cameras, request the management or the owners to check as well. Now , I wasn't happy with the room given to me and my mom yesterday while we checked in.The basin wasn't cleaned and the room wasn't looking neat as well...Still ,spoke to male staff in reception and he said in the morning hours , he can't help it as the rooms are all full and he could give us one in the afternoon hours.. Well, I was on with it and moved on.Later in the afternoon , they kept their word and another lady staff called me for shifting the room and the other room they showed was actually neat ..But then my mom refused to shift as she didn't want to carry all stuffs again to another room, while she was having her short nap as well. Both the staffs whom I spoke to yesterday were polite and kind to listen . This one lady whom I met today , was giving rude replies , she needs. To be taught how to handle complaints and stress at work...Too unprofessional!!! Just because of her behaviour and attitude , I've told her that I'll share a review!!!! I've taken her photo as well, if that can help ....as she wasn't sharing her name! Also to add , all these happened 45 min back , tried getting the number of their reporting manager or any other senior staff for help...They said there's noone.

NillWe booked a family AC room for 4 adults and 1 child. There were two beds in the room. One was queen size and the other one was a single bed. The former was only adequate for 3 people. At the time of booking, they said an extra bed will be provided as we were 5 including a 5 year old kid. But it was not provided upon check in and as we were tired of traveling, we did not bother about the extra bed. The room was nicely maintained. The bathroom was exceptionally clean. They had provided us with a few soaps, towels and shampoo. Tea/ coffee can be made in the room, facility for that also provided in rooms.Lift service is available. A small parking lot at the front, which can accommodate 4-5 four wheelers. All types of payment accepted. A good wifi connection is also provided for the customers. The location is very close to the temple. So many hotels are available nearby, so no worries about the food.
