Malabar Residency

My expectation with any hotel is to have spacious rooms and a clean bathroom, and going up the ladder of higher categories more amenities... With this stay of ours for 2 nights, the room is very spacious and the service was too good, quite decent for a quick visit stay. Tea coffee kettle, laundry available, car parking facility and easy access for oldies as well. The stay was very pleasant.

Very good hotel and prime location. Right at the city center. All major beaches , shops and restaurants are within 5 to 15 min drive. Right at the main road, just beside railway station. Very nice, big rooms with all basic amenities with big balconey. Good cealing staff. Hotel also has EV charger and a big gated parking. Highly recommend this buget hotel in kannur.

We have got a good stay and services at this hotel .Eventhough we had a last minute booking to this hotel by 8:30 pm, Mr.Joby supported us by providing rooms available and also Ms.Teena has guided us for the visits in Kannur to be worth watching.

I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. My friend booked 3 rooms for a day, but since some guests couldn’t make it at the last minute, we decided to use 2 rooms for ourselves. However, the hotel management insisted on deciding the room allocation instead of allowing us to use the rooms we had already paid for. This was completely illogical. If full payment for 3 rooms has been made and ID cards have been submitted, guests should have the right to use the rooms as they wish. Instead, the management refused to hand over the keys, despite charging us for all 3 rooms and not offering any refund. The basic facilities were also highly unsatisfactory. Each room had only one power socket inside and another in the bathroom, making it impossible for two guests to charge their phones at the same time. Imagine the inconvenience if both phones run out of battery. Even worse, there was no hot water available throughout the day. When asked, the staff mentioned it was a solar line with only one pipeline, and suggested keeping the tap running for several minutes—which still didn’t work. They further advised us to use an electric kettle for emergencies, which is unacceptable in a hotel setting. Overall, the service was extremely poor and the management’s approach was very disappointing. From the outside, the hotel may look appealing, but inside it suffers from serious flaws in both facilities and administration. Definitely not a place I would recommend.

The staffs are very friendly and very helpful in getting us good services. Mainly Shaji was very humble and helped us in End to End stay experience. Very supporting and smiling front desk team. I had a great experience there. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Especially one lady named Teena. She was there with her pleasant smile and helpful nature. Really made us feel at home by her hospitality. Great rooms, neat and well maintained. Easily accessible from railway station. Public and private transportation easily available. It is in the very centre of Kannur town. But atmosphere was really peaceful. I highly recommend👍

Those staff were super rude. We booked a room for a day, and then we checked out almost two hours late. They wanted to charge us for another day, and they didn't even give us a heads-up.
