Hotel Hamilton

Was looking for a reasonable priced hotel and found a good deal on cleartrip. The hotel is location is good. It's just walkable distance from medical trust junction. The rooms are clean n bathrooms are well maintained.no stains n hot water. The manager was hospitable. I found the food not so good although I just had breakfast. I am not sure how lunch n dinner are. Also didn't find any door man who would help with luggage or open doors. Rest for the cleartrip cost it was a good stay!

Price wise not value for money. AC very low powered takes 1 hour to cool that small room. They charged 1500 for AC double bed (slightly larger single bed). Worth only 800 to 1000 Rs. No facilities like restaurant etc. Neatness ok. Mosquito problem exists. I think many who gave 4 or 5 star are bogus comments or they are platform dwellers. Except for location nothing is good.

Just off the MG road's noise and crowd, Hotel hamilton is located in the quiet residential area of the deewan's road. The staff, especially Mr Raymond (I can remember only his name) are more than happy to help you with anything. You ask for anything, any help, and the staff is always ready for you with their ever happy faces. ||The hotel is close to everything Kochi has to offer and still manages to keep a quite, holidayish profile due to the neighbourhood it is located in. MG road is a few mins walk, marina drive is just about 15 mins from there.||The rooms are cosy, clean with really neat bathrooms. Can't complain. ||We did not try the food, but the staff was pretty sure that we would like it and I believe them.||||We got a discout there (through expedia) but I am sure you will not be disappointed even if you have to pay the normal price.

I purchased one night at this hotel in Mid February 2013 using their website the day before staying there. When I went to check out, despite showing them the confirmation email that my night had been paid in full, they insisted the money had not appeared in their account so forced me to pay again before I could leave. About a month later they emailed me to tell me that my initial payment had been received and offering to refund me for the double payment however this money was never deposited in my Australian bank account and I am still waiting.

We stayed in a deluxe room. ||||Room: Very small. Bed is not comfortable. It was clean||Breakfast Buffet: It is not a buufet; only 2 items with limited quantity. Juice was pprovided in a funny 3 oz (90 ml) glass. Quality of the breakfast buffet was bad and we had food poisoning one day.||Service: It is iindifferent to bad. Staff rang our room at 9:40 PM and told us that we have not ordered dinner. We slept by then after eating dinner outside. The restaurant person can not understand or speak any English.||Overall it is not good for family.

Stayed here for one night and were very disappointed with the place. When we arrived at 3pm we were told that our room would not be ready for another 30 mins even though check in time is meant to be 2pm. Asked for Wifi key as place advertises free Wifi to be told that it is not working! I suspect that the WIFI is never working somehow!! Room was clean and facilities were ok. Receptionist was seriously unhelpful!! Asked for directions to tourist info office and she didnt even know if there was one in town. She really didn't seem to care about anything and her answer to every question was "I Don't know" Breakfast was ok, cereal was a bit stale and they leave bottled water on every table but will present you with a bill for it afterwards. Overall we wouldn't recomment this place, staff are poor and we saw better positioned hotels nearby that seemed much nicer.

Newly opened, cozy, friendly staff...very good value for money...don't think you'll get this good accommodation at the given price. This is a simple accommodation, enough if you are planning more outdoor activities, very new and clean!

The service quality was very poor,but the room cleanlines was good.The hotel is not closed to any places as they mentioned in their website.One can walk from Kanyakumari to Kashmir(walkable distance).Internet was not provided.Quality of the food was ok,but the items were very limited for the breakfast.| |
