NillI stayed at Victory Dawn by Amatrails for a friends reunion organized by my father's friend. Managed by Taj Hotels, the property and their service is impeccable (as is always)! The property opened in January 2023 and has 6 rooms between 2 floors connected by a vintage wooden staircase from inside the building. It can accommodate a group of 12 people. But to be honest, by the size of each room it can accommodate twice as many people! The attached bathrooms are huge and very functionally designed. Furniture in the bedrooms and living rooms on both floors are subtle, stylish and remind one of old ancestral homes that some of us were privileged to visit. My favourite feature of the Victory Dawn is its collection of pictures of Kochi dating from early 1900s framed by Krishnan Nair Studio which itself was established in 1910. We were served fresh, hot and extremely tasty food. As a person who usually steers clear of fruits or salads from outside home, I was really happy to have it fresh at the table. The starters and soups were very well prepared and no prizes for guessing how the main course turned out to be! Special thanks to the staff who were simply great at what they did. Food was served hygienically and their service was impeccable. While they were always available and amiable, their presence was never intrusive. In general the property scores a 10/10 for hygiene, quality of food and service. It would be a perfect fit for groups or families to enjoy a quick weekend getaway.

NillRooms, Hall and bathrooms are spacious.. neatly arranged..We felt some uneasiness in their breakfast serving method and in serving time... And not giving priority to our choice of food item..but taste is ok. One day no water in the bathroom in the most needed time.. In the early morning.. for half an hour

★★★★We stayed for only one night, sandwiched between Munnar and a houseboat cruise. The rooms (we had 3 rooms for 9 of us, with an extra bed in each room) were very clean, spacious, comfortable and air conditioned, and did not feel at all cramped even with 3 to a room. Bathrooms were likewise spacious, and had adequate hot water (a luxury we did not often enjoy in India during our 3-week stay). The hotel is less than a kilometre from the Chinese fishing nets, etc. and close to FabIndia and other nice shopping. Also close to Dal Roti, where the food was both good and inexpensive (but the restaurant is not licensed for alcohol). The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast normally starts at 7:00 but because we had to be on our way by 7:00, the chef came in extra early to prepare breakfast (toast, tea and omelettes) for us at 6:00. The hotel was a little on the pricey side for us in high season, but because we were so many and it was just one night, it was doable. There are cheaper options in Fort Kochi, but no doubt not as nice.

★★★★★The hotel is in an excellent location. The staff were very courteous, especially Mr.Vasanth who was always at our service -any time of the day/night, always pleasant mannered and smiling. This hotel is located in an extremely nice place. The rooms are well kept, clean, spacious and reasonable priced. Will definitely like to go back and of course will recommend it to my friends.

Nill"Staying at The Victory Dawn Hotel in Fort Kochi was an absolute delight! The historic charm of this traditional luxury building, built by the British, adds a unique touch to the experience. Located conveniently near shopping streets and cafes, it's perfect for exploring the vibrant surroundings. The Vipin Boat junkar experience was a highlight, offering a glimpse into the local culture. The staff, especially Akshay Ram, exemplified true hospitality, making us feel welcomed and valued throughout our stay. The food was delicious, offering a palatable journey through local flavors. The picturesque ambience and cleanliness of the hotel further enhanced our experience. And to top it all off, booking through MakeMyTrip provided the best value for money. Icing on the cake was that they are pet friendly my furry friend throuly enjoyed his stay. Highly recommend this gem for a memorable stay in Fort Kochi!".

★★We were booked into the Victory Dawn for three nights, the hotel is well situated and has a lot of potential. The staff are friendly and try to be helpful but they have very limited resources. We arrived around 11h00 and the air conditioner in the room did not work. During the day three different people came through to try and repair it, all to no avail. Around 18h45 a huge free standing AC unit was moved in but that did not work either. One of the workmen tried to explain to me that it was normal that the AC did not work because it was hot! In our room the AC did not work, one of the two fans did not work, several light fittings were missing bulbs and there was no ventilation in the bathroom. The hotel has no services apart from breakfast. Finally, we were moved to another hotel. The building has a lot of potential, but needs a lot of work and investment.

★★★★★Vasanth and his staff run a exceptionally clean and genuinely inviting accommodation. They attended my every need from arrival to arranging affordable transportation to the airport upon check out. The location is tranquil, the rates fair and it is super tidy. Book here and be happy with the offering of Vasanth and staff.
