They made me buy a 400 rupee train ticket for 1100 rupees. I requested an air-conditioned sleeping berth and they complied, but actually gave me a lower-ranked seat.

Totally wonderful stay at Ballard Bungalow. It is a beautiful old Dutch Colonial building. Absolutely perfect location .The owner Marcus is charming, helpful , very knowledgeable and all the activities and transport he arranged for us was efficient and the right price. Glorious large heritage type rooms. Good Wi Fi, Air Con, Hot Water, Breakfast. The double rooms have huge beds that can be split to make singles if required. Just great value for money and "location location" . Would not hesitate to book again or recommend to friends.

A nice and charming heritage accommodation, centrally located but quiet, near to the sea shore. We enjoyed our stay in ballard bungalow very much. The room was large enough, with an XXL size bed. The host is a very friendly, relaxed and well connected guy. He helped us in organising a Backwater Tour, and besides he is a brilliant cook. His Indian dishes were marvellous. A slight disadvantage was that it's not possible to pay with credit card, so one should have sufficient cash at hand when settling the bill. We can fully recommend him and his nice heritage bungalow!

Nice big rooms in a former Dutch warehouse. Location is great - 3 minutes fron the ferry and very close to the sights of Fort Kochi. Bery nice manager, who let us use his shower before our late night train and gave us tips a out ongoing festivals, places to eat. Thanks a lot! 🫶🏻

The manager, the manager, the manager. The manager is a very knowledgeable, caring individual. He knows how to take care of your every need, whether it's sightseeing, ATM locations, etc. He has been to Europe several times and his English is very good. His name is Markose. If you like fish, he will go to the fish market close by and buy it. He will attend to your every need. A friend in a foreign country, he definitely is.

This place can be termed as a Heritage Stay. The property was a 300-year-old Dutch warehouse, that was converted into a hotel. Large spacious rooms with period furniture in all rooms. The location is bang opposite Aspinwall Hall and close to all the major tourist attractions. Markose, the Manager, is a very helpful guy and handy. The food served is good (but there are lot of options around, if you fancy).
