Treebo Kumily Gate Thekkady

It is high time they renovate the hotel before taking any further booking. The condition of the lobby and the hallway, the rooms and the toilets were pathetic. The entire building was dusty and unclean. Patches and cracks were evrywhere. The property is surrounded by a fish market, a poultry farm, a bar and a local bus stand. Not at all suitable for families. The breakfast menu was very basic and the room rates were atleast 5 times what it is actually worth. Not even the basic toiletries were provided in rooms. We booked 6 rooms there for a group and not even a single room was worthy of any kind of appreciation.

The rooms are so worst. The entire rooms had water fungus on the walls. Also, the rooms had cockroaches. The buffet severed was so worst. They severed on Upma which was very dry and puri bhaji. No options at all. Very disappointing.

Room service was highly overpriced, for 4 basic juices and veg sandwich the price was 900rs. Complementary breakfast was not at all complementary, not arranged in buffet counter. Only dosa was available and when asked for bread, they served exactly 4pieces and took away the dosa tray without asking.

Our one-night stay at Treebo Kumily Gate was quite disappointing. Despite arriving at the designated check-in time, the room was not cleaned, and we were asked to wait. Ongoing construction work on the premises created excessive dust, and no alternative rooms were available. The property is located in an unclean, market-like area, which added to the discomfort. The room was mediocre, with an unpleasant smell lingering both inside and in the hallways. Construction noise, including drilling sounds, was constant, and loud, disruptive behavior by other guests in the hallways made it difficult to sleep. Overall, the experience fell far short of expectations.

Scam!!! Beware. Do not stay here. No towel, toiletries, no hot water and all night constant noise coming from roof, like work was going on. Construction is going on. And at end of stay they ask you for more money

Stayed with my cousins here while searching a near a place to Thekkady boat service. But the decision was right since the staff are very courteous, budget friendly rooms with complimentary breakfast.

Right behind the Kumily Bus Stand, this is a very convenient option for someone visiting Thekkady. There's a resto bar too at the hotel. The service is great!

It's a nice big property also appropriate for Business conference or outreach program. The location is great with Bar and shopping street nearby. They have ample parking space and big enough lobby and waiting area. The tariff was reasonable and included breakfast but needs improvement. The in-room service was prompt and courteous.
