MehaKira Holiday Inn Munnar

Booked 4 rooms and stayed for one night. Rooms were in different places. No parking available. Rooms were small but it was clean . You can hear conversations ( if they talk a bit louder) from adjacent room. Complimentary breakfast was available. Dine-in area was small. The view is breathtaking. Not recommended for family staycation since there is no space to gather around and food options are also less(swiggy is not available). You have to tell the staff about food and they will provide it from outside with extra delivery charge.

I stayed at Mehakira Holiday in Munnar and was very disappointed. The rooms were not well-maintained, and the cleanliness was far below acceptable standards. The kitchen and cooking area were especially dirty and unhygienic. This experience did not match the expectations set online. I do not recommend this homestay to others.

It's a very worst .. I came munnar for vacation.. We booked a home stay here. But They Provide Some other Rooms.. with small size of room space. Because they give our room to some one .. All amenities they snent was full fake.. There Home was there... at top some rooms are there.. They said home is at bottom.. rooms are at the top.. so it's home stay like that said ... This is was logically stupid.. We asked cancel it.. they Argue with us... We did stay there.. Still they didnt return it . don't book here.. Don't Spoil holidays here.. there is no parking facility There is no lift.. they mentioned it in booking website. But it all are fake here..

They told 24 hours hot water... But they not given that service. Just given for 3 hours. Only Morning which we asked for hot water only. Food good. Near by only... Area was not safely for Couples... We booked Hotel in make my trip before six month on Feb 2024. we paid full payment. We reached munnar.. hotel madam called asked that was wrong payment done. we are going to Hotel will explain to them but they asked extra charges also. We have kids, hotel madam simply said cancel room, in that day was rain also. We facing many issue that time.. We are helpless that time.. we pay extra charges for merakira hotel...

Pros 1.room was good and spacious 2. Owner responds when you need. Cons 1.location although nearer to city but it's difficult for a car to reach as there's a steep climb. 2. Some basic amenities like hanger or rods for towel were missing. 3. Proper reception is missing. For everything you have to call the owner. 4. For boys I think this is adequate place but won't recommend for couples as many things are missing,like even for tea also you need to go to a nearby hotel.

Worst experience. They cancelled the booking at the last minute after we arrived at the spot and did not even respond to the call.

A generic room without any view or service. Owner would respond till the payment is done. They will just give you the room and nothing else. There was no water in the room and there are no water machine or bottles available in and around after 10pm. Also, the care taker was sneeking quite a lot in the room. Although he probably didn't have any intentions but still.. could have just respected some privacy.

The rooms were good, but to each the rooms you have to climb a lot of steps (approx 35). The location is also situated in an uphill direction. Not much parking space. It will be really difficult for aged people to climb up and down to reach the room. Management was very friendly and provided required details to cover places. They cook and serve the food if we tell them in advance, rates were reasonable.
