The South Gate By WB Hotels

"Extremely Disappointing Experience with Agoda and South Gate by WB Hotel I recently booked a deluxe room at a hotel in Trivandrum through Agoda for December 14-21, 2024. However, on the night of December 13, I received a call from Agoda stating that the property was no longer available. This was particularly inconvenient as I was already en route to Trivandrum. Due to the film festival in Trivandrum, hotel rooms were scarce and prices were inflated. An Agoda executive offered a compensation of $50 as a discount on my next booking. I subsequently booked another hotel, South Gate by WB Hotel, to claim this compensation. Unfortunately, the discount was not applied at the time of booking. My stay at South Gate by WB Hotel was subpar. The room was unclean, with a bad smell, stained bed sheets, and dirty towels. The amenities were also inadequate, with a lack of toiletries, dirty yellow water, and no room service. The reception area was uninviting, and the staff were unfriendly and slow to respond to requests. Given the price I paid, I expected a much better experience. Sadly, both Agoda and South Gate by WB Hotel fell short of my expectations. I would not recommend this hotel or Agoda to anyone. Rating: 0/5"

This hotel good in only picture from inside its very bad the room and blankets are very bad n poor . The water supply is not proper . It’s like our rooms not for family and they are only here for money. Very bad experience with this hotel and staff .

The staff members were very courteous, and the service provided was exceptional. I have stayed here before, and I can see that there have been some positive administrative changes since my last visit. Overall, the service was good, and the hotel provides good value for the price.

I stayed there for 2 days. The room was not maintained well. Full of smoking smell. Water heater not working. If we informed him doesn't take any action. Not worth the money..

Over priced, no free breakfast. Reception staff untained and most are impolite. Under toilet seat, sink, tile walls not cleaned.Waste baskets very nasty never cleaned. Roaches throughout room and bath. The room phone doesn't work even after supposed repair. The hotel mobile cell line doesn't work. Either its not charged or not answered. I have to leave my 4th floor room to go to reception and request room cleaning service, wifi reconnection, or any other service needed. The ceiling has fallen and no wifi for 4 days now. I have to use my mobile Hotspot to access the internet now. I paid for 29 days in advance to stay here and be mistreated. I would not advise anyone to stay in this place.

We came here with group. All major tourist destinations in trivandrum are located near by only. All staffs were very polite and well mannered. Good stay and good service.
