Decent rooms, well maintained. Great staff and good location. The restaurant serves really good food though for the price, i would have hoped for slightly more quantity of food served

I'm a regular visitor to Trivandrum and I always prefer to have the stay at Hotel Horizon. All the staffs are well behaved and their warm welcome makes this hotel as the preffered choice for all the regular guests. The restaurant serve delicious food with utmost care by the staffs by which we feel that we are taken care well. Special mention to Ms Glorys who gives attention even to the minute requirements of the guests. Overall I feel a homely atmosphere which makes me love this hotel.

My engagement function was conducted over here yesterday (17oct 2024). So before a month the decoration team had visited this place for taking measurements and they had told the staff that they would be coming on the previous day of the function to do the decorations. They said that it's possible..so the team came on 16th oct night and they told that it's possible as there's an event happening and decorations can only be done on 17th( day of my engagement). They didn't even update us about the event happening on 16th and they just treat their customers like shit or just with us. They were like nothing is possible and they were just not going to do about it. The decoration team came from far away and it was troubling for everyone. So the next day I went to the place early to get my makeup done. The previous day my mom had asked a chef named Anil Kumar about the complimentary room and he said we will be provided with a complimentary room just like most hotels do. So I went there early and asked the reception for the key to the room and they said rooms aren't available. And my mom said to him that chef Anil Kumar had promised us a room the previous day and why didn't they reserve a room for us..then he was searching around for excuses and told us that we will get a room in two hours with wasn't possible for me as I had to get my make-up done. Makeup takes about 3 to 4 hours and my function was starting from 11 30am. So we became really upset and told them it was not possible and we need the room as soon as possible and after about 45 minutes they gave us the room and my makeup got late to be finished and I didn't get time to do my pre engagement photoshoot in the morning. We had to wait for more than 45 minutes in the morning on the conference hall in which the event was supposed to happen. While I was waiting the decoration team arrived and again the same thing happened. The people at the reception didn't allow them to pass saying that only if a particular staff at horizon comes, they can let them pass.. someone named saji. "Saji vannale ketti vidan patullu" they said something like this..and this person was not there. Later he came and the decoration got delayed as well. I was really frustrated, angry and tensed..I hope no one goes through this on their special day. One more thing about the rooms. The room that I got had an ac which wasn't cooling.

Not up to my expectation. 3500/- charged for 2. And charged 1000+tax for additional hours too. That’s not informed prior. Very bad interaction. Breakfast menu is very very less. Only 3,4 items are there. Personally I will not come again here.

Hotel located in good place but it is disadvantage. Since the hotel is facing the main road there is traffic disturbance all the time. Also, the hotel has become old need renovation.
