Red Palm Home Stay

Getting here was the best thing that could happen to us. Amazing proximity to the north cliff and good cafes/restaurants, super nice hosts, very large and clean room, cute little balconies. They did above and beyond for us. Helped us with delivering laundry and booking train tickets. Everything with a beautiful big smile. Highly recommended! ❤️

We stayed at red palm for 5 nights. Rooms are clean and comfortable. They have cute small balconies where you can chill. We used the kitchen every day to cook which was very convenient. The owners are such lovely people. Easy to be around and welcoming. They offered us their food every day and were always happy to answer our questions. We could watch them cook and they explained to us how they cook different foods. Really really good and kind people. If your looking for a budget stay that is also clean and comfortable, do go for it.

Lovely people! We felt like home from the first day. The rooms are extra clean and quite big. Toilets are in great condition! Plus there is kitchen you can use to cook. We didn't think we will get such a good place for this price! Thank you for having us!

Clean rooms and bathroom.Both AC and Non AC rooms available. Nice property and it is close to the beach. Owner is nice and helpful. Easy going people with no interference. If you want to cook you can use their kitchen. I recommend this stay if you are a budget traveller.

This place was great. The room was really large and spacious. It was the only place I've stayed in India that had somewhere for me to hang my clothes and having lived out of a back pack for months this was a massive highlight for me! I stayed at the front of the guest house on the ground floor and I was very happy there. I could sit in that hammock all day and watch the world go by, it's so chilled and beautiful. The important thing about this place and what makes it stand out from the rest were the hosts. Haris and Ansari are beautiful people, helpful and friendly and fun and hospitable. Thank you guys for making my time in Varkala so special, I really did not want to leave and will most definitely be returning. ... and not forgetting to mention the delicious biryani and gorgeous Rosie the dog!

Not recommended, you can find better options in the locality in this budget. AC not working, too many ants in room. No water pressure in toilet. Zero toiletries provided.

I've been to varkala few times before.. But this time was special as it was my first trip with my wife... So i searched for a lot of hotels, resorts, Homestay. That's when I came across this property. Read all their reviews, spoke to the owner directly and I books a AC room for 5 days.. As we were newly married couples, they treated us like their own kids.. They even cooked dinner for us for free as a feast.. You will feel the comfort, safety, friendlyness and everything in here. Note: just call the owner directly and book the rooms rather than using any apps. It's very suitable for solo, couples, family and friends... Easily reachable from railway station, bus station. We just enjoy our stay and will recommend everyone to stay here.

I came upon this charming guest house by pure accident whilst out searching for rare butterflies. I didn't find my elusive butterfly but nonetheless was delighted by the exterior of the property and even more delighted by the interior. Don't get me wrong- this is not a boutique hotel but it does have a great vibe from both the staff and guests. The eclectic mix works really well - a rare combination in my opinion. The bedrooms I looked at were spotlessly clean and the affable British owner lets guests have the run of the modern kitchen. Recommended to anyone looking for a reasonably priced home stay in Varkala.
