Abode Bombay

Such a special hotel. We spent Christmas here and feel lucky to have found such a great place. Don’t be fooled by its low key entrance- once inside, the decor is gorgeous. Our room was beautiful as were all the communal spaces. Breakfast incredibly delicious with lots of vegan options. The staff were so helpful and friendly, and I felt sad saying goodbye! Lovely added touches like eye masks on the bed and rattan room slippers. The only thing I didn’t love was the massage (60 min Ayurvedic), it wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t as a high standard as the rest of the hotel. Highly recommend Abode and would love to return.

Wonderful boutique hotel in Mumbai - would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel & its tours to any traveler to Mumbai. We coordinated airport transfers through the hotel which were easy and flawless. The food tour with Harsh was tons of fun & delicious. Vasu was our guide for the full day tour, early morning tour, and city walk (which he kindly modified based on our interests). Vasu was an excellent guide and truly enjoyable to spend so much time with. The breakfast was lovely & the laundry service also fantastic. We’re now at a more “traditional” hotel in another part of India and are missing the thoughtful care, experiences & recommendations provided by Abode. Stay here!! Oh - and book massages early! We tried to book the day before, which was too late.

A beautiful oasis of calm much needed in frantic and exciting Mumbai. The attention to detail is second to non and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Good breakfast and well located in the heart of Colaba. |We look an early morning Abode trip with the excellent guide Vasu and saw many sights it would have been difficult to see without the help of a Mumbai expert. Also had the best chai! Highly recommended.

The staff at this hotel are wonderful and went above and beyond to make my stay memorable.||The property is situated just steps from the Gateway of India and has good access to the majority of tourist attractions in the city. It is easily accessed from the airport for around 850 Rupees via Uber. There are many good options for eating and drinking nearby.||Breakfast is excellent with a range of continental and local choices each day. New foods were carefully described and the coffee here is excellent at any time of the day.||The rooms in the hotel are quirky. I had a windowless bedroom without a lavatory. I would describe it as industrial rather than boutique. This said, the bed was very comfortable with a firm mattress and the shower was powerful with plenty of hot water. Housekeeping ensure the room was serviced to a high level each day; this was also true of the separate toilets which were well maintained and always had fresh towels. ||I would definitely recommend Abode to friends and would certainly make a return visit.

I had an amazing stay at abode Bombay! The location was perfect: right in the middle or everything but the anode is like a quiet sanctuary with the most zen and comfortable rooms. The best part about Anode Bombay is the staff. Every front desk staff is knowledgeable and so helpful. They helped us plan tours and personal needs. The kitchen staff made delicious breakfast and served us so generously. I highly recommend the Abide for short and long term stays!!!!

Amazing experience! The hotel makes you feel home and Nilesh assist you on everything. Breakfast delightful. We did a half day mumbai city tour with our guide Vasu! He knew everything and was full of real good stories anout the city and history. Super good!

We really loved our stay in the ‘homey’ Abode! Super breakfast, cosy big rooms, very authentic and lovely staff! We made a half day Mumbai tour with Vasu our very knowledgeable guide. This was a great experience full of interesting surprises. |After all it was hard to leave we enjoyed so much!

Great location, great staff, great breakfast. A fine boutique hotel with a personal touch and cosy place to return to after a busy day in bustling Mumbai. I particularly enjoyed the Indian breakfast buffet items such as the soja samosa paired with either the French press coffee or masala chai, along with the cheerful mood of the staff - you're all set to take on the day.
