Killa Bhawan

The team at Killa Bhawan, will surely make you as welcome as they did us. Our entire experience there was extremely enjoyable. The view from the terrace at breakfast time (with the sun slowly painting the fort bright gold) was amazing. The location - actually within the fort, was ideal and the hotel itself was very nicely presented. The hotel makes great use of the heritage space very interesting but also thoroughly up to date. I thoroughly recommend the hotel for its great service and location.

A gem located within the old sandstone fort, with astonishing views from the many rooftop terraces. Bhanu and his cousin Manu and all the staff are great hosts and deliver magnificent cups of tea whenever they are required. Rooms are great with working ac and fans, water, tea and coffee. Bathroom was petite but beautifully formed. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the city is so peaceful. If you need a place to stay, look nowhere else.

A truly amazing hotel more than a hotel like being in a private home the level of service was incredible the staff are discreet but always on hand to make your stay perfect. As a woman travelling alone I felt safe and cared for. The bed was the most comfortable during my whole trip and the rooms are stylish and functional. Very clean. I highly recommend a stay in this magical hotel set high in the fort.

Once in a while you chance upon a place where stories are made and dreams come true! Killa Bhawan is a gem for explorers, not tourists, but for those who love to explore the world around them, and the people who roam the streets too! Every detail in this fort hotel is artistic, and each room and corner is well curated to facilitate the imagination taking flight. You meet the most fascinating people, and very quickly strangers become friends on that patio. The coffee and brekkie are fabulous and everyone is so darn wonderful. We relaxed into our stay and found the best version of ourselves here.

Hotel Killa Bhawan has only 7 rooms and is a gem for a stay in Jaisalmer. Compared to other very nice international hotels on our trip, the two days at the Killa Bhawan were a truly memorable experience. Due to the narrow alleyways in the medieval fort, the last part of the journey is by tuk-tuk on the only access to the fort. The welcome at the hotel was extremely warm. |The breakfast on the terrace with a view of the fort and the city is absolutely unbeatable! The rooms have everything you need and are lovingly furnished and very clean. Due to the unusually high temperatures for this time of year, we were very grateful for the well-functioning AC.|The manager and the entire staff are extremely attentive and helpful!|We would come back at any time and can highly recommend the Killa Bhawan.

I recently had a truly remarkable stay at Killa Bhawan, located within the historic fort of Jaisalmer. This authentic old haveli boasts stunning architecture and a wealth of local antique details that transport you back in time.||The breakfast, served on the terrace with its breathtaking views of the city, was of exceptional quality. Each morning was a delight, accompanied by panoramic vistas that added a special touch to the start of my day.||The manager of the hotel went above and beyond, taking the time to provide fascinating background information about the fort and assisting me in selecting high-quality tours. His dedication made my stay even more memorable. He also introduced me to several locals, enriching my experience with genuine local insights and connections.||In my opinion, Killa Bhawan is the best fort hotel you can find. The combination of its historical charm, superb service, and personal touches made my stay truly unforgettable. I will certainly be offering this hotel as my first choice in our itineraries at Heart of India Travel.

A home outside home!!! Yes it really felt safe, secured and amazing with the hospitality of people in here. This was my first solo trip and I had a feeling of being at home when I stayed here. Very warm, welcoming staff. Bhanuji, and the family is really warm. They made sure I have great time when I am in Jaisalmer.

Living in heritage building itself is highlight of this place. ||||Just to recap, when we were looking for place to visit, I asked ChatGPT for heritage building recommendations and thats where I came across Killa Bhawan.. fast forward discussed with Bhanu and stay was booked. ||||Our stay was great, views are breathtaking and so is room. You feel like royal (esp in robe).||||We had great snacks and chai - coffee at roof top.||||Next morning we had Rajasthani breakfast that was specially selected by Mr Bhanu (one of the best host). ||||His suggestions are so helpful and not just in Jaisalmer but even Jodhpur and so.||||I would totally recommend this place for stay. Only regret was being there for only one day.
