Hotel Mewari Villa Udaipur | Lake View Hotel in Udaipur

The receptionist was kind and well reserved, he showed us vacant rooms to rent. He speaks fluent English. The hotel is great, with a breathtaking view. 4 stars because of the restaurant and staff there with inappropriate behaviors, and less hygiene service. Yes, they are polite, the view is nice from the terrace in the restaurant, but 2 days of having meal in it was a big mistake which destroyed our trip with more than 2 days wasting with bad pains, I couldn’t explain to ask for medicine. So next trip we’ll definitely stay in the hotel, but eat out somewhere else not in the rooftop restaurant.

Arrogant and rude behaviour of the owner/manager was biggest turn off. One of their bed covers had blood stain on it, their rooms are small, small even for 2 people, beds are small, and their bathrooms are even smaller. I stayed here with my family (Parents, wife and 5 month old kid), first of all they have super long stairs to reach their reception which makes it extremely difficult not only for old people, but young folks as well (unless you are an athlete). Next day we ordered lunch from outside to which the receptionist guy gave us shady looks saying that we ordered non-veg food while their property is a veg one and by the way nothing about veg or non veg was mentioned in their hotel policies, booked from booking.com, I asked him what is the issue since we are having food inside our rooms and wrapping up cleanly after we are done, and since their hotel has extremely inconvenient access, so I'm sure they can also put up with us having a kind food which THEY don't prefer, to which, their owner(the receptionist told us that he is the owner, the next day, but I'm not sure if he is the owner or a frustrated manager) jumped into this conversation by rudely telling me that I should have left the same time and gone to some other hotel when we saw the stairs in their hotels, I told him it was not very easy to find hotel on the spot and it is difficult to roam around with family, he insisted me in a rude tone "Arey sir bahut hotels hain Udaipur me."(translation - There are too many hotels in Udaipur), till this time I was very calmly trying to put my point, this made me angry, I was about to confront him, but there was another food delivery arrived that time and I anyways received that and continued to have the lunch that we ordered. This is extremely unprofessional, rude, and arrogant behaviour, I believe either this guy is an employee of this property but secretly paid by their rival to piss off customers to send them to another property.

The lake view from our room was amazing. The room was clean and bright. Staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful. The roof top restaurant was ideal for dinner. Unfortunately our room had virtually no wifi however there are courtyards to access the wifi.

I had a wonderful stay ,From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming and attentive, ensuring a smooth check-in process. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with all the amenities I needed.||The hotel’s location was perfect, making it easy to explore nearby attractions.

I usually do not write bad reviews but the staff of this hotel has compelled me to do so. The rooms and property is just average so please do not fall for the pictures as it may look fancy. To top it up, they provide worst service garnished with super rude attitude. They lack basic sense of communication, empathy and hospitality. The lake view does not have any expanse at all. It is hardly the tale of the lake that is visible from the rooms overlooking some private properties reinforcing you to take a glimpse of someone’s personal time. The last but not the least, the food here just sucks. It is always loaded with oil and spices. Their breakfast is the biggest sham ever - they serve only 3 items in the name of breakfast spread and one of those 3 times is always curd or chatni. Please do not stay here, not matter what.

Chittorgarh people dont go to this place as they are saying they don’t give rooms to chittorgarh local residents. Facing thus first time by a hotel manager and the behaviour of talking was worse and unacceptable.

The stay was awesome! The location was great, within walking distance to Ambrai Ghat, Jagdish Temple, and Gangaur Ghat. We had a beautiful lake view from the room balcony. The staff were humble and helpful. Breakfast was also good, and the rooftop view was amazing. However, they should maintain better cleanliness, especially with the bedroom mattresses.

Worst service. Arrogance staff. Ordinary rooms (not as shown in the pictures). Food is yuck and fully drenched in Oil. Bath fittings were broken. Taps were hard to move and staff behaved like as if we dont know how to operate it. The breakfast buffet included only 2 dishes. Had to skip it even though we had booked rooms with breakfast. Utter waste of money and experience spoiler property.
