Hotel Devraj Niwas on Lake Pichola Udaipur

It’s a budget-friendly hotel located just 3–5 minutes from City Palace and about a 2-minute walk from Jagdish Temple and Gangor ghat. We booked a non-lake view room, which was comfortable, though we were given twin beds despite requesting a double/deluxe bed. The hotel also features a rooftop restaurant with a lake view. Overall, an okay stay and recommended.

Great lake view hotel on a budget with proximity to many tourist spots. Autos are available right next to the hotel. The staff is less in number yet helpful and cooperated throughout the stay. Overall a good option for a family trip.

I had an average experience at this hotel. The room I was given was quite small and lacked a wardrobe, which made storage inconvenient during my two-day stay. One of the few positives was the hotel’s location, as it is close to most of the major attractions in Udaipur. Roof top restaurant is amazing. However, the hospitality left much to be desired. Upon arrival, the person at the reception—who may have been the owner—did not offer a warm welcome. Instead, he immediately started instructing me about additional charges if my child happened to spoil the bedsheets. This was an unprofessional and unwelcoming way to greet guests. It was disappointing to feel that hospitality standards varied based on the guests, as I believe a more polite approach would have been taken with foreign tourists. Overall, while the location is convenient, the service and room quality did not meet expectations.

After booking a presidential suit here we were denied room service and we had to climb up the stairs for 3 floors with our luggage. The people working here were rude and not at all helpful. Food was below average as well. No working TV, no refrigerator was provided in the room. The room was mediocre, so not worth the price we paid for. We booked through Make my trip and it was a huge disappointment. Would not recommend anyone to stay at this place.

I enjoyed a lot @ Hotel Devraj Niwas (Udaipur), very polite behavior of all hotel staff there , clean rooms, pleasant view of lake from lakeside view rooms. I'll surly plan again to visit here with family. It's my most memorable and enjoyable visit here jn Udiapur.

I don't know about the rooms, service & restaurant food, this rating is totally based on the incident .when I came with my family for check in , hotel manager denined to give me room and ready to give full refund on spot. I was in the middle of street with my luggage and family, having no idea where to go to find a place to stay. The reason they gave us is that it happened due to their family issue 1hr back. I have no idea how come a family issue impacted their guests to check in their hotel which I prior booked. So guys who is reading this review, please think 100 times before booking this hotel, this situation may occur with you. BE AWARE...!!

The hotel is very well located. It's next to lake pichola. More than the room and the lobby I loved the dinning setup which is on open terrace. Sitting next to beautiful lake and mesmerizing twinkling lights....having a candle light dinner is to die for. They do set up the fire place on terrace to keep you warm during chilled evenings. Food was delicious.
