White Conch Residency

White Conch Residency is an average, budget-friendly hotel. If you’re visiting Sikkim on a tight budget, it’s a decent option. The location is convenient as it’s close to MG Marg, but it is on a bit of a steeper side. You’ll need to pass through the shopping mall to reach the hotel, which might be a consideration for some. The view from the hotel is quite good, and the long windows in the room are a nice touch, letting in plenty of natural light and offering a charming view of the surroundings. The overall experience was satisfactory, but don’t expect anything luxurious. It’s a practical choice for budget-conscious travelers.

The worst stay I've ever experienced. I've booked 2 super delux rooms, they've provided us delux room which was below average standard. The kettle in the room was not working (stay was in December cold at Sikkim), the washroom wasn't clean, the basin was broken. There was only 1 light throughout the room. The TV was also not working. Also, they have provided z-spray for shower purpose. I would like to apply for money refund from goibibo. Clearly the paid feedback doesn't work all the time.

Great hotel, food was good rooms were good and close to MG marg for shopping. There was water problem initially when we checked in but later it was resolved. Room service from Vijay was good. Overall a decent stay.

Avoid this place! Our stay was marred by subpar services. Stained towels, no complimentary water bottles (had to ask repeatedly), and a missed breakfast order (despite prior request for early delivery before our Nathula tour) made our experience frustrating. Constant hammering noises from the adjacent room disrupted our peace, forcing us to call reception multiple times to intervene. The staff's inattentiveness and unfulfilled promises made our stay unpleasant. With such fundamental lapses, White Conch Residency falls short of basic hospitality standards. Would not recommend.

I stayed in this hotel on 16th, 18th and 19th Nov 2024 and my experience was horrible. On first night i was given a room near by staff's room in second floor and there were lot of noise from those staff members during night and looks they were drunk and having fight and I was not able to sleep. I mentioned this to reception guy but there were no response from them. On second day i was given a room where water was not coming in bathroom, think of scenario you wake up early at 6AM and want to use washroom and there is no water and no one in reception to help you. I asked reception to check on this and fix it 4 to 5 times. They just ignored it. On next day I asked for other room and they gave it after I pushed for it. On last night there was lot of noise from my neighbour room, it seems people were drinking and shouting all night. Overall all three days of my visit had issues and bad thing about this place is no one will answer you. And yes don't expect breakfast from them on time. I won't recommend this hotel to anyone planning to have conformable stay at Gantok.

Excellent location. Staff is very helpful & respectful. Attending to needs of all guests. Bijay, Mahindra, Manish & Karan were of great help. Taken good care. Nice place to stay.

1. Hotel Location is very bad, every time you have to climb 94 Steps (I counted) and steep road to reach MG Marg. Elders please avoid. You can’t get any cabs from hotel place as it’s one way. They will charge any amount between 150-300 Rs. 2. Rooms are very dirty and moist, Fungus is all over the ceiling. Chances of getting ill is high. 3. Manager is very negative person, talks always negative about Gangtok and never arrange local ride from him you will regret. 4. Most important, never leave your keys with reception. They will remove your luggage without your permission and give it to other party though you have reserved for entire travel. I have a personal experience. They touched our personal belongings without out permission/consent. 5. No toiletries were provided in peak season, stock wasn’t available. Second time when we came they gave us used soap. 6. Staff is really good and food also. Inshort please avoid this property. You can get better options than this for sure. We regretted, you don’t.
