Pleasant Hill Residency

Worst experience ever in my life. The owner cum manager is a servant here of his wife. They have another person to look after the management. Interestingly he has his own way to put u in trouble. And the behaviour you will get here from the owner and his wife must horrify you that you can't forget. Such a disgusting lady owner I have never seen handling a hotel in a tourist place. I will share my experience. We booked this through goibibo. We got rooms in the ground floor which are very humid and not so clean. The bedsheets we got were used one. The only thing good there was their breakfast with Alu parotha. No views from the rooms. The next we had plans to North sikkim for 2 days. Since we had to come back to gangtok again we booked the same hotel offline giving advance. But when we came back they surprisingly told us they forgot the booking and they had no rooms left. When we showed the booking voucher, they pretended like we wrote that in our own. They started to argue and threatened us. They gave us two options either to stay in their common room or search for a new hotel. As it was 10pm at night, we couldn't take risk and had to stay in their common room. We were seven people. You can just imagine how we adjusted. They couldn't afford pillows and mattresses. Now comes the most horrible experience. We were given a common bathroom which might not have been used for years. No light was there, even you can't lock the door. People can poke you anytime while you are doing your business there. Throughout the night, you have to listen to the vojpuri songs from the owner's room. Last but not the least, you may not get water in the morning while you are in the middle of your daily work in the bathroom. Overall, I would strictly suggest you not to go for this hotel if u r in gangtok any time. Don't even think to stay here in your dream, as it can be horrifying.

We a group of 6 were extremely happy and satisfied with the ambience, hospitality and the care that we received in this short duration. Especially the early morning breakfast arrangements really touched our hearts and really made us feel about an homely environment in Sikkim. Would surely give the best rating and also recommend to friends and relatives who opt to tour sikkim. Please keep up the good work. I would surely like to stay in this property if i plan to visit again in the future.

This hotel is very bad and not clean and the staff was not get properly work . The hotel managers is very bad and the rooms are very bad and the rooms contains mosques,spider,cockroaches etc. His staff and manager behaviour was very very bad. The television is only for shown but T.V was not properly works. The wi-fi connection is not working. In the hotel the water supply is not properly. The food is very bad. The drinking water is not available. I can say all the people please do not go this hotel.

Basically I will not involve this hotel as a hotel as because the rooms are very much different as compared to those on the internet, the rooms are not maintained properly, When we went there we found spiders, mosquitoes in the rooms,We booked 3 rooms and in them the geyser was not working in a room,In another one there were no attach bathroom and the interesting thing is that the owner told us not to take bath when we reached the hotel as he said there is scarcity of water here. The hotel is even away from the Laal Baazar & M.G. road. So for me personally I don't recommend this residency to you it would be better if you go for any other hotel with the same price. And yes do note that every photo you see on Google maps doesn't seems like that in real. P.S.:- only name is pleasant Hill in real the place doesn't seems like pleasant .

Rooms were good. Loved the stay. It was very cozy. 24/7 hot water available (water heater). They had cozy blankets( kambal). Free breakfast (aloo paratha) really tasty. People were really good, they were helpful, kind hearted and lovely. And there was a really cute small kid 😍😂

1. Far away from main city or M.G. Marg , either pick up a taxi for 200/- or walk uphill for 25 mins. 2. Bed sheets looked liked quite damped. 3. Water supply isn't OK all the time. 4. Very bad experience of shear harassment and rude behavior of hotel staffs!! As it is a pocket friendly hotel we booked 2 rooms with for 2800/- with 2k in advance and they gave us a cash receipt with written facilities of 2 standard rooms with attached toilets. but as it was peak season time in Gangtok they got customers who wanted to pay 4K per room. So what did they do? They forgot about our booking and booked another customers and left a single storeroom_turned_room for 7 of us without attached toilet.When we show them receipt they misbehaved with us and told that if we want to stay then we have to adjust in that otherwise they can refund the advance payment. But at 10.30 pm after a tiring journey and luggage in hand you just want a place to settle in night so we had no options so adjusted there and paid a total of 2500/- for staying in a store room.

1)Either you have to walk uphill for 20 minutes to reach MG Marg or you have to hire a taxi. 2) Beds were in damped condition. 3) We booked 2 rooms for 7 persons for another day, and prepared a bill of ₹2800, and took advance of ₹2000. When we came back for 2nd time checking, they gave us one room(actually store room) without any attached bathroom. They provide us a small bathroom in upper floor. The condition of the bathroom was very poor. It was 10 pm. They simply told us if we want to stay it is OK, otherwise they will return ₹2k taken as advance. Finally they took ₹2500 in total. But isn't this a harassment for the tourists? They behaved rudely with us.

I had the privilege of staying at the lovely Pleasant Hill Residency during my stay in Gangtok. Although the hotel is situated at the bottom of a steep hill, you can get a short taxi up to the main square for just 20 rupees. The rooms are well maintained and spacious and are owned by the most accomodating family who are very helpful. Breakfast was included (Aloo Paratha) and is amazing!
