Hotel New Castle

Stayed here for 3 days had an excellent stay. The ambience was great with quick and great room service. Talking specially about service, the person named Vivek is very polite and helpful. The location is also if very convinient. The view from the hotel is very soothing.

Hotel is located right in the centre of the city with MG road very nearby. Rooms were big and clean. Staff, especially Vivek Rai was very courteous and helpful. Need to climb stairs for the room. We visited in May where there was some issue with hot water availability, otherwise stay was extremely pleasant

Very amazing place with beautiful rooms. I've stayed here for 3 days during my road trip and was simply amazed at the lovely people running this place. Massive shoutout to Bishal and Raaj for their amazing support and hospitality. A High recommendation from my end .

Hotel is quite affordable and with good infrastructure. The service is amazing.Its a great experience of stay and the food is delicious.You people are Lovely as your state (Sikkim)

Was here on work for just a day but the good reviews on different sites gave us confidence to book Newcastle. ||Genuinely good service. We reached late but they opened up their restaurant for us to have a meal and our breakfast was ready on the dot of 7 so we could start off early.||Clean rooms. Hot water. Good tasty food. Lovely ambience.||Really appreciated Raviji's service. ||Keep it up!

Hotel New Castle score high on all fronts. It's very clean, in a great location, and the staff take hospitality to the next level. Ravi is the most reliable person I've come across in organizing trips. He quickly grasps what exactly the guests are looking for, and finds the most suitable solution rapidly and efficiently. He found us good vehicles , safe drivers at a reasonable cost. To us, Ravi is the face of Gangtok now. In fact, on the first evening, he smilingly assured us he would personally come to fetch us back if we couldn't get a taxi. We did get one :-)||I was amazed to find him hand us some beautifully packed muffins and sandwiches ( at 7 am !) as were setting out on a long trip - he said we wouldn't find decent vegetarian options at the end of our journey. His mantra really is " Athithi Devo Bhavaha" - the Guest is God. Sanju would cheerfully fetch us wonderful piping hot coffee early in the morning, when the restaurant was not even open . Rajen , always smiling and helpful; at the front desk . The hotel is on the main road, about a km to MG Market. Time taken is a better measure than distance as the roads wind up and down a lot in Gangtok. However local share taxis charge Rs 20/ per person to take you there, so the location is still very central and comfortable. Perhaps there could be better hotels - but you would be hard put to find people who would work so hard to make your trip a wonderful memory. I would recommend this whole heartedly.

Hotel New Castle is a great place to stay. Centrally located, good and clean rooms and outstanding service. We used room service extensively, which was very prompt. The food was tasty, we had almost all the meals here. I had aged parents with me, who couldn’t climb stairs, so they accommodated them on the lower floor. They provided excellent guidance to us for our Gangtok and Nathu La Pass tour. Overall, an excellent stay and I would surely recommend this place to others.
