OYO Hotel Omkar

Initially there is a problem with the location of the hotel. But once we reached there its worth. I love the interiors of that hotel specially the corridor outside our room on 5th floor. Wow that view from there is awesome. Even the dinning room is also nice along with all the basic amenities in room also. Its a good experience overall being at Hotel Omkar. If you are planning a stay there don't forget to visit Food Fusion! Its a bar cum restaurant with good food and a perfect screen for cricket/football match viewers along with drinks and food

Stayed with family on 12th March 2018. Booked 3 rooms.||Positives:||1. Staff includes 2 young boys who were very helpful. They helped to carry our luggage to and fro our rooms. Guided us to a local restaurant in cold rains. Very humble and always smiling||2. On the main road, easy to locate||3. The hotel also has a travel business, so you can plan your sightseeing with them||Negatives: ||1. On that day there was no power in that area. And upon that the hotel did not have and power backup. So no hot water in that cold weather and no way to charge your gadgets||2. The rooms provided were on 2nd floor and the stairs are very steep and no lift. So do not book if you ar having old people or someone with trouble in climbing stairs||3. Being on the main road, rooms are a bit noisy||4. There are no good restaurants nearby. Also the hotel was supposed to have a restaurant but it was closed as the cook was had gone on a leave. It was really difficult searching for food in a place like that.||5. Rooms that are not facing the road are dark and dingy. One can get better rooms at this same price (e.g. Hill Castle, better both location and room wise)||6. No parking space for your vehicle in front of the hotel

The hotel was fine. Rooms were clean.Staff were polite. But Hotel food was average. My room was fine, geezers were working but my friends geezer were not working. We booked 8 rooms, where 4 of them were not working. So I will give 3 stars.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 Nights with my family. Its not a star category hotel but under budget hotel its quite impressive .. Hotel has its own travel agency so booking transportation and hotel in other destination was quite easy and the people treated us very warmly. There are two cousin brothers who are running the hotel and the travel agency. We booked a package for lachung. They provided their own vehicle to us and were always available for us all the time. Even after reaching to lachung they were continuously calling me and asking about my whereabouts. They were very helpful.||Hotel facilities are minimum, needs to be improved but people over there are very decent.||Overall a decent stay in Gangtok.

Bad experience with my stay in this hotel. The hotel manager - Mr.Yowan is not a nice guys to speak with. He uses bad words when speaking to customers. Never cares for the guests. Incorrect charges are applied everywhere. Never provided any tax invoice.||Despite of repeated asking they refused to give Tax invoice. Even when you are staying in the hotel with food included in your package, they will charge you for the food. Tea/coffee is also not free. Food quality is pathetic. Behavior of other staffs are nice but for Yowan, it is horrible. ||I would never recommend this hotel to any one.

Don't ever stay in this hotel, the owner asked us to change room when we were out visiting Sikkim. The reason for the same was that some other guest were coming however we booked the room till next few days. Also, food quality is low and staff is very arrogant.

I booked this hotel online and was in doubt about room condition and service. But once i Been there , found my room to be clean and spacious . Staff Pratap is very nice and friendly. Stair is little stiff, Food is fresh and good.

The hotel is quite decent, and maintained properly, the location is a little far from the main market or centre of the city MG marg. A little concern is that its a 4 or 5 storied building and the lack of lift makes it difficult .
