FabHotel Kutighar Regency - Hotel in Vishal Gaon, Gangtok

Last time booking with Fab hotels. I booked for Sonamla retreat and paid the full amount but the hotel people did not let me check in as they do not have tie up with Fab Hotels. It is the mistake of the company to give me the property which they are not partnered with. They shifted me to this Kutighar which was like very far. They said just 900 mtt but it was 4 km from the actual location. When reached kutighar the shutters were closed and it was 4 pm. The reception was closed. Luckily they had a phone number on the board so I called them to open. Had to wait for 5 mins. The guy in the reception was lazy , wokeup and opened the door. Check in was seamless no doubt. Room was okay. There were no toiletry provided. Restaurant option wasn't given. I asked for food and he bluntly said go outside to eat. No breakfast, no wifi was working. Even the phone network in the room was pathetic.

My stay was from 2nd may to 6th may at Fab hotel sunamla retreat. But the fab hotels shifted my property to Fab hotel Kutighar residency... They never consulted me before shifting me...secondly when I checked in the hotel in the night...person at reception tells me you have to check out on 5th may as his property is sold out whereas my stay is from 2nd to 6th may..it's FABHOTELS responsibility to check the availability of the property...thirdly they don't provide you brkfst option....they say that milk and bread not available in the market so can't provide you...like seriously this is the basic necessary...we were served poori subzi it was so bad in quality that people in our group puked ....lastly they don't change bath towels...they say we don't have extra to change it everyday....not bathroom amenities....HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED

Rooms are very small as compared to the price charged. Leaking tap, non working plug points. They have a water kettle but no creamer or tea bag offered. Not even basic toileteries are given. Be prepared to carry or buy on your own. Hotel is very down hill from the main market and it will take at least 30mins travel time in a shared taxi which cost Rs. 70 one way per person. Hotel helping staff are good. Food is average and over priced. They have a TV but no channels are subscribed. Overall l, poor experience. The experience justifies a cost of Rs. 700 to 800/- per night cost and not wht is charged by fab.

A well furnished hotel and everything here was good from it's staff to it's cleanliness. Also there is a taxi stand just beside hotel so it's easy to travel local places.

I visit here in last December and I enjoyed a lot in Gangtok. Hotel is situated a bit side from main Gangtok but Taxi service available all time in front of Hotel.

Nice place to stay. Well-maintained rooms. The owner & staff are very friendly & helpful.
