The Sunrise Regency

We had visited peling in monsoons which is a non season time. We got double rooms at a very economical price.Best part is their location. They have big windows with a view of snow clad mountains, clouds passing over; in short total paradise. Although its a budget hotel, but the service is too good. Staff is very helpful and courteous. Peling in itself is such a beautiful place and during off season its a perfect location with not many tourists around.

As I have shared earlier, this trip to North East was a budget trip since we focused more on the exploring and adventure. This property was the Best considering the budget. Situated on the small hill slope Sunrise Regency gave me the delight of my tour. We arrived here just before my birthday. Its a small town with properties converted in to B&Bs and lodgings for travellers. The owner of this place Mr Rinzing Bhutia was most accomodating along with the hotel staff. Thre are no lifts in this property so you have to take a flight of stairs to reach your room. The room was excellent with the most beautiful scene right in front of your eyes once you open the windows....."The Snow White Peaks of Kangchenjunga in all its glory" I fell in love with this place instantly. ||Tip - Wake up at 5 am in the morning to witness sunrise which highlights the peaks of Kangchenjunga.....||The staff was the best team I had ever come across in all my travels. Available on call instantly with a smile and ready to serve. My wife arranged to throw a Birthday Party for me and boy was the staff enthusiastic about it. A small diner in the basement of the property was set for the event. Entire Table decorated with candles, cutlery designed in artistic manner, bowls full of chocolates, A decorated board wishing me Happy Birthday, The entire staff along with Ringzing present there and the Drinks, Food and Music flowed in. Me and my wife were presented with a traditional sacred silk cloth which has markings of Eight Lucky signs. I could not have asked for anything more..We drank , ate....chatted with the staff about their lives, family, surroundings....It was a pleasant affair.||Pros||All Listed above....||Cons||Really cant say any but its a budget place....do not expect any star like service here....But with what I experienced it was way beyond that.||||My sincere thanks to Nitin Dikshit( Punyanagari Travels ) who arranged the trip and recommended this hotel, Ringzing Bhutia and Team at Sunrise Regency for making the experience memorable...||We went as Guests and Yes did leave as Friends....Cheers

It is very very ordinary hotel.we can compare it as a lodge at roadside.we had very worst experiance in this hotel .we had booking there on 26 may 2015 for 4 rooms when we reached there at 8 pm and asked for our booking the reception person responding as we there is no booking for us and later we come to know total hotel is empty then aslo the reception person dont know about the 4 room booking to them its surpprised us.Later he given us room but room are very ordinary,Blanket having hole batroom are very dirty.carpet came out so may locations.They dont have cook even at 8 pm but he said we will cook food for you but what they cooked we cant eat as no taste.they dont have even minaral water in hotel.next day brekafast also very bad.We done booking Trough GOLDEN VACCATION whose manager is Mr. SENGUPTA who cheat us and given this hotel as very good hotel .Done ever book any hotel from GOLDEN vaccation.||||It was a worst experience in our life during the stay in Hotel Sunrise, pelling. The rooms were unclean and having insects including giant sized spiders. The hotel guys are also unfriendly and un professional. Recommend no one to stay in this idiotic hotel.

the rooms are very small..you couldn't even place your luggage, too many bugs (spiders, mosquitoes, flies etc),the staff didn't even have a spray. the bathrooms are worst than indian railways. the beds aren't comfortable and stinks||||the restaurant is not hygienic, flies over the food and food quality and taste is pathetic.. moreover the staff didn't care for any concern or helping.. there is no parking onsite and the location is not too good as well...

It was a worst experience in our life during the stay in Hotel Sunrise, pelling. The rooms were unclean and having insects including giant sized spiders. The hotel guys are also unfriendly and un professional. Recommend no one to stay in this idiotic hotel.

The insulation in rooms is not much and is very cold at night which goes to -4 C

This is average hotel but good for stay,hotel staff is very cooperative,kitchen is not available,WI-Fi also not available,but room are with big spaces and well decorated. Pelling is a small city and rush-less environment.i recommended for others to stay.

very good experience , As peling is place for relaxation this property serve the purpose for the same. staff is very good, rooms are nice and clean ground floor rooms are very good. if one is hireling vehical through hotel pl check the condition of vehical , as i had very bad experience with a vehical , vehical condition was very bad,
