Hotel Padmini Nivas

What a great hotel! The service is outstanding and the rooms are very comfortable. This was my first trip to Mussoorie and they made it such a wonderful experience. My wife and I stayed in the cottage room and it really felt like we were in a little cottage on our own in the countryside. They’ve managed to keep the old world charm and history but without sacrificing any comforts. They have many outdoor seating areas and gardens with epic views of the surrounding landscape. And even though it’s right off the main road, you still feel away from the hustle and bustle of the town. Couldn’t recommend highly enough. ||Also the property’s dog is adorable and a big old fluff ball.

The most amazing part of this hotel is ---|The location (But you have to pay 150rs for 4-wheeler and 100rs for 2-wheeler everytime to come and go cuz its Mall road) ! ||Food taste is average for North Indians but excellent for Gujaratis... ||Staff behaviour was excellent... ||My room was not properly sanitized but I am sure this is not the criteria to judge the stay experience and I didnt even mentioned it to the housekeeping or else it would have been sanitized again...||Entire space gives you a feeling of royal architecture somehow. ||Recommended for all type of groups ..

We stayed in this heritage property for 3 nights in October-2024 and enjoyed our stay thoroughly. We were in a cottage that was few meters away from the main building. One will not find this kind of atmosphere in the modern hotels. The furniture, the switches and the layout was all antique. The hotel has an in-house restaurant (Surichi) that serves simple but delicious vegetarian food. The staff was very courteous and helpful. We met the gracious lady owner of the property also. We are happy that we chose this property for our stay. This left a ever-lasting impression.

It’s wonderful experience in staying in Padmini Nivas. It’s neat and clean heritage property. I travel every year to Mussorie and I always stay in this hotel. Staff is so warm herein and you feel like home. Food is delicious and you get variety of food . They take care of your small things. It’s at Mall Road only, location wise, parking wise this hotel is apt. It’s also pet friendly.

We just went there without any booking. Lucky enough to get the deluxe room (number 10), looked in to the room (and few others) and booked it straight away. The room was spacious, near and clean, with all the required amenities like a small fridge, hot water kettle, heater which we could have asked for during our stay with a one year old toddler. Another important concern which i had was the parking in Mussoorie, luckily i was able to park my car right in front of the room. This hotel is right on the mall road, we didn’t had to think about getting late or taking a taxi to hotel or anything like that.. another unexpected highlight for us was the breakfast which we had in the garden area sitting under the most pleasant sunlight which again, was right in front of the room. Special shoutout to the wonderful and helpful staff of the hotel and the lady at the reception who was polite, helpful and well mannered. Thank you soo much for making our stay memorable.

We had an amazing stay at Padmini Nivas and were thoroughly impressed with the exceptional service. Special thanks to Shikha and Jay Ji for their warmth and hospitality—they truly made our experience memorable. The food was delicious, and every meal was thoughtfully prepared. The property is beautifully maintained, offering a perfect blend of comfort and charm. What truly left us in awe was the dedication and passion of the 86-year-old owner who actively manages the place. It’s inspiring to see their energy and commitment—a true lesson in grace and perseverance! Thank you, Padmini Nivas, for a wonderful and unforgettable experience. We look forward to visiting again!

We stayed in the month of September. Padmini nivas is a heritage hotel. Rooms are quant and pretty. We stayed in the cottage. 3 bedded and double occupancy rooms are available.rooms are well equipped with hot water Geyser, Kettle etc , Location is on the mall road with two ways to reach. But approach is slightly steep and may be difficult for elderly. Parking is ample. Food is vegetarian , breakfast is on order but wholesome. I enjoyed poha , dahi and tea. A well maintained lawn adds to beauty of place.

I have been visiting this hotel for last 25 yrs regularly and consider it to be my second home. Whenever I feel like having solitude I go there and get charged completely. It has maintained its legacy and has not become commercial kind. The management and staff gives you a wonderful hospitality.
