Dewa Retreat (A Himalayan Boutique Hotel)

I absolutely love Dewa. I have stayed here many times, I keep returning. The location is easily accessible to town and also to a Ganga beach (15-20min walk). The rooms are clean and comfortable, and if you can get a room at the front there are beautiful mountain views from the private balcony. Food is excellent with options to dine at the restaurant or cafe. There is a very cute library space and excellent yoga studio. And above all, the staff are outstanding! They always make it feel like home and are so helpful with any questions/arrangements.

We booked hotel before 1-2 months before from cleartrip and took email confirmation from hotel and they said it's confirmed. Now after 1-2 month they are calling us to tell us that we cannot give you room as hotel is sold out and they are selling same rooms at higher prices to other customer. We had to show email confirmation and had to talk to cleartrip to resolve the issue. After talking to general manager and showing him proof he requested us to take full refund inspite of having booking. After cleartrip came in to resolve and we too made mind to send them a legal notice then they called us to tell us that they will honor our bookings. Such a big cheat this hotel is. Management is really tried to extort more money and cancel old confirmed booking and earn few more pennys. Please do not rely on this property. This all was managed to harass us by Mr dev singh from the hotel.

I have stayed at Dewa many times, it feels like home. The location and the view are spectacular, waking up to see the Ganges and mountains each day. I like that it is a small boutique hotel. All of the staff are very kind, warm, helpful. And it has a lovely yoga studio, and great food in the hotel as well as at the Pure Soul cafe (yum, smoothies!). I look forward to returning again!

I stayed at Dewa Resort in Rishikesh for two weeks in April 2024. I initially only booked in for four nights but ended up staying two weeks. It is well situated not far from the Laxman Jhula area with a convenient cut through opposite the hotel that leads to the main tourist area. It is relatively quiet for Rishikesh. The room was well appointed with a very comfortable bed. There was also a safe in the room which I found useful. There is an Indian and an international restaurant as well as a pool. A good standard breakfast was included in my room rate. I also had one meal at the Indian Restaurant. The food was amazing and certainly as good as anything else you would find in Rishikesh. The staff were very pleasant and welcoming. I had a few minor problems with the Internet, but that is nothing unusual in India. I really enjoyed my time staying here and would certainly stay at this hotel again.

We felt high voltage electric shock in Room #207 while using wall mount shower. Which was horrible and dangerous too. Management has changed our room after we made a complaint. Next they management has offered the same room to someone else and that family made a same complaint to hotel staff and they changed their room as well. But, rather than changing rooms, hotel should fix this concern. condition of Air Conditioners is also very poor. We have booked three rooms and all the ACs are very old and not working appropriately. Management has sent someone to clean the filter of ACs after we raised the concern. Out of two our one day has spoiled due to these issues. Going forward this place will not be under our list to stay.

This place isvery special. We got to experience the stillness and the beauty of India at the base of the Himalayan Mountains. We walked through the streets and enjoyed such beautiful culture. This allowed us to take a pause and reflect on this amazing place.|The rooftop yoga was amazing. Thank you, Yogi.|Ambika Bhatt was so accommodating and kind and made our experience even more personal. We made a new friend!|Hope to see you again soon. We definitely know where we will stay.

The website of this hotel has been hacked and the owner is not taking any action. We have lost around 1 lakh through cyber crime because of their lack of attention. Please do not transfer any money online to them.

I recently stayed at Dewa Retreat in Rishikesh with my friends and had a wonderful experience. The property was neat and clean, and the food was excellent. ||||If you’re looking for a solid 4-star hotel in Rishikesh, I highly recommend Dewa Retreat. It’s a fantastic place to relax and unwind.
