OYO Hotel Nest Near St. Thomas's Church

Whoever the guy in charge is during the day on the 31/12/23 was rude, belittling and obnoxious. We had already paid for the hotel room via Agoda, but be warned - he will sit you down and talk to you in a condescending manner about how you haven't paid enough for the room - which apparently is 2,000 rupees a night.. definitely not worth the money if that's the case. Then, he'll proceed to give you a lecture about how you should book it at the hotel and not pay online. Why is the hotel on online services if this is the case? His tone and general attitude should really be checked out as I'm sure he's one of the main reasons for the negative reviews. It's unfortunate as the hotel is fine and the location is good. All of the other hotel staff were delightful and helpful - especially the man who brought us the towels and water, he was exceptionally friendly!

The Hotel is actually a SCAM. Despite speaking to the booking site and following all the preferences, the Hotel Team denied to allow us accomodation. All the arrangements were set with the booking website and Hotel Team before entering the hotel, yet the receptionist had the audacity to create issue of not allowing rooms. We again had to hang on for hours of telephonic conversation and then the hotel team accepted that the deal was confirmed with the booking site. Who is the sufferer here?? The customers who travel with small kid of 4years after 22hours of journey. Do not book this Hotels if you are visiting Kolkata.

Poorest OYO hotel I have ever come across. I always prefer OYO whenever I book hotel for my family as they most of the time try to maintain minimum requirements for the stay. This time I was astonished seeing the amenities provided by the the hotel. It was so dirty. Blanket was not clean. Bad experience ever. Never expected from OYO.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER booked room for 2 nights through Agoda, reached there at night to check in, (at first it won't feel safe at night for women and couples. The hotel is on 2nd and way is too scary). When we went there we gave our booking details and the impolite receptionist/manager denied check-in. Called Agoda customer service then they called back the hotel and again it happened the same he denied to give room. When I asked the manager to provide room after the booking was cancelled he was asking 4000 rs for one night. staff was very misbehaving and impolite. Can you imagine at 11.30 in the night it was happening with us. Somehow we were able to book another Oyo and it's again a long story. But finally we checked in at the night.

The worst ever service and complete frauds. They initially agreed and accepted my booking and when I arrived to check-in they refused and made me cancel my booking via Oyo and demanded 3 times higher the room rent for a day. Oyo offers room at 900/- but they demanded 2500/- for per day per person. The rooms are not upto the mark and not at all a good location. Request you to never ever book this hotel as the owner does fraud activities. Had my worst ever experience midnight 2 am to get the room inspite of having the rooms available they denied to give the room

This place is just terrible. We booked and already payed by Agoda. When we arrived hotel staff didn't want to give us a room because price we paid was too low to them. They wanted us to pay double price. Nobody takes responsibility for their offers online. When we were trying to explain the situation, the receptionist was so rude and disrespectful, still interrupting us while talking, and trying to make us explain the situation with Agoda by our own because he claimed it's not his problem but ours. Finally, after 1,5 hours of arguing, they gave us the room with no extra paiment required and said they'll explain this situation with Agoda themselves. The room was small and not so clean, with dirty bedsheet and hair on the pillows. One of the worst experiences with any hotel in India.

Rooms were not spacious. From bed to bathroom there is only one foot gap. Bathroom was quite small and untidy. Baby flies were roaming around the bathroom. However, if I ignore these things then the stay was pleasant. The behavior of staffs was good and of helping nature. No one will disturb you unless you call them or ask for something.

Very friendly and polite people! Nice rooms! Just a few minutes by foot away from Mother Teresas tomb. I stayed there 2018 for a few weeks.
