Hotel Subashini International and Lodge

Very clean and family friendly hotel. Reception was cordial ( even to a Hindi speaker!!). The elevator was under maintenance and we therefore had to haul our luggage 3 floors by stairs. We checked late night and we're expecting someone to help us hauling our luggage to the 3rd floor. Their restaurant served us really delicious dosas, idles and steaming hot coffee. Less than 1 kM from Egmore railway station. One can easily walk, the autos might rip you off. They give an extra bed at an additional tariff.

Rooms and restrooms are clean. Restaurant serves tasty south indian food. We especially liked their dosa.

To the best of your ability, savor the one-of-a-kind flavor of home-cooked meals. Exceptional quality in every aspect of the rooms. It is much more convenient to travel by metro because there is a stop nearby. The grade of quality is really outstanding.

The rooms were clean with AC and Television. The room is Moderate size. We took room for 2 days. First day they charged 1500 rupees. And in the next day they gave discount. Complement soap will be provided. No complement water bottles will be provided. Instead they will provide water filled with RO Water. Rooms were clean and nice. Its having small parking area. There is a restaurant in the ground floor. Which is having good food options. And tea shop have good tea options. The lift is very small and old type which will be somewhat uncomfortable.

Not to be judged by its appearance. Though the building looks old, offers clean room with fresh sheets, clean laundered bath towel and hot water. It has an in-house restaurant that serves the most delicious food. Simple rooms, simple food, no luxury but comfortable stay.

We had one day stay last week. The rooms were cheap and economical. But, many basic things in room was faulty. We didn't have a proper bathroom door. When electricity was cut, generator was switched on only when we asked to do so. But, switched off very earlier within 30 mins. We stay there frequently and the management should look into such small things, which could make the customer satisfactory. The food we had was good in taste and quality.

Disgusting exp.this time.We stayed here for 7days 25 dec.to 1st jan.They did not clean the room and toilet and did not change the linen.On 31st dec.when we went for dinner the manager told us kitchen is closed without giving prior intimation.

Keep this as your least option only if there are no rooms available in the whole chennai city. The room size is adequate but the bed is not comfortable, they don't even provide you water. There are economical lodges in chennai where they provide wifi, drinking water and heater, and a mini refrigerator. This lodge has nothing. When you are in a hurry and won't be able to search for rooms you can go. Most importantly they don't restrict smoking and drinking. We stayed as a family and there were people smoking in the corridor, bottles of hot drinks were kept at the door step, even though each floor had cameras the management didn't restrict these things. My family felt bad and were not comfortable when they saw these things. And due to this they felt unsafe for the whole stay. So, if you are moving as a family strictly avoid this lodge.
