Misty Courtyard by UTH

The Resort is very beautifully located atop a hill top, overlooking the landscape. One gets the thrill of nature when the mist comes down and engulfs u completely. The staff and Manager are very polite and courteous. Food service is good. Finally, a good choice for a stay in Munnar.

OVERPRICED!! Did not have any bad experience. But one could get 4 star facility in a good hotel in Munnar. Good points- Rooms were clean, spacious. The attitude of the staff is commendable- very good hospitality, soft spoken. View was okay. Food was not bad. The services that were not up to the mark- 1. No intercom facility. Had to walk all the way down to communicate to the staff everytime. 2. The room was not ready till 3 pm, where 2 pm was the check in time. 3. The geyser was not functional, which caused inconvenience. The staff got it fixed in 3-4 hours. 4. Plug points were not working. There was loose connection at plug points. 5. No drinking water was made available at room. Upon asking, they provided two 200ml bottles. 6. Provided overdiluted handwash which was not even foaming. Not at all worth the money. Charge half the amount you do now.

Worst room service..almost no service... not worth for the cost and star category... Only Appam (2 nos.), single omlet (1) and tea served in the complimentary breakfast.. Then and there power (electricity) was tripping.. despite complaint made they were unable to rectify the issue..

Travelled with family. Total 11 adults and 1 baby. Occupied two suite rooms in 1st floor, 1 normal room in ground floor and 1 villa. Good points are: - Location is good. Can access some of the prime spots easily. - View is good. - Rooms are spacious and neat, toilets are clean & premium. - Food is okay, but costly. Not so good points are: - The first floor rooms are suite room, which are large and has balcony too. But the floor seems to be either wood or fiber kind of material with tiles. The problem is, the entire floor shakes when we walk and few tiles make crackling sound too. The floor made sound even when our 1 year old baby walked. The sound is very disturbing in the below rooms too, where our parents stayed. Another couple who occupied the ground floor room even complained the owner about the sound our baby made while walking. We tried walking very slow which still created sound and didn't allow our baby to walk. - Sound insulation between the rooms is poor. We could talk with other family members in the adjacent room in first floor. - Too close to highway. - Property is not very large. Not too much space to walk or sit and relax. - Campfire location is too close to highway. We didn't use it though. - No pool. - They switched off the outdoor lights at 10pm, while all of us were still outside talking and enjoying the night vibes. We had to use mobile phone flashes to get back to our rooms. - Need to climb at least 30 steps to reach the ground floor rooms, which was difficult for our aged parents. First floor was even higher.

Food: Worst food ever.. Service: If weather is not good wifi,TV,hot water is not working.. Location: it's too away from city so if you are tourist don't choose this place..

Easily accessible location right on the highway. The building has this old aesthetic touch with spacious rooms. There is a great valley view from the hallway. The food was amazing so I tried chicken noodles twice. As a drawback, i should say that the bedsheet and blankets of the deluxe room we took had stains and could've cleaned properly. Also there were stomping sounds coming from the top floor, the manager said that it's due to the fiber flooring.

My wholehearted 5 star to this place. Location is accessible. Rooms are pretty good spacious enough to accommodate a nuclear family. Food was also good. Their bhindi masala is a must try. Staffs were courteous and available whenever we reached them for help. Overall it was a great family time spent at Misty Courtyard.
