Neelakurunji Luxury Plantation Resort

We just returned from Munnar. I got to know Neelakurinji plantation and resorts when I was browsing for a good stay at Munnar. After reading a couple of reviews, I felt the place must be good. Honest to my words, it was beyond our expectations. The rooms were neat and clean and the staff were very cordial. Walking around the whole property is a bliss. The bird calls and the running noise from the natural stream were awesome. The place was very calm and serene. It is good for people who love to stay in cool, calm place and who love nature.|In all a very good experience.

Our stay in Neelakuruji Luxury Plantation was a dream come true as it was in our bucket list for many years. This is really one resort where you can go and unwind with family and enjoy nature at its best. The resort is awesome with beautiful flora and fauna within and surrounding it with beautiful streams running within the property. |I have a feel of complete satisfaction of the trip even as I write this review after a month now. My heart feels full. ||Good food and service provided by the staff is of special mention. The resort has around 11 beautifully curated cottages, which can accomodate large groups as well. The owner of the property made sure that everything was taken care of during our trip. ||The property is off the Kochi - Madurai National Highway and the views of the Panniyar dam from the highways before your divert to the property is breathtaking. ||We will definitely come back again and again

We stayed at Neelakurunji Plantation Resort for two nights, and the experience was truly remarkable. Nestled approximately 3 kilometers from the main road, the location offers stunning, secluded landscapes that are perfect for a peaceful retreat. The October weather added to the charm, with refreshing air and beautiful vistas all around. The resort staff deserves special mention; they were exceptionally friendly and attentive, consistently available to ensure a comfortable stay. Akhil, in particular, went above and beyond, always ready to assist and making sure we felt at home. The restaurant and service teams, as well as the gardener, were all professional and courteous. While the lush green exteriors and cozy interiors create a perfect setting for relaxation, there are a few areas for improvement. The food, though manageable, didn’t quite meet the level of satisfaction we’d expect given the premium pricing. Enhancing the culinary experience would elevate the overall stay. A gentle note: it’s advisable not to venture beyond the property after 6 pm. The surroundings get quite dark, and the road leading to the main road is narrow. Check with the staff if you are planning to go out after 6pm. Within the resort, however, there’s ample space to explore and take in the serene beauty. Overall, Neelakurunji Plantation Resort offers a beautiful and tranquil escape with some room for refinement.

I recently visited this resort with my family, and it was an overall pleasant experience. However, a few aspects are worth mentioning for future travelers.||Location & Access: The resort is beautifully situated close to nature, offering a serene and scenic environment. However, be prepared for a challenging drive—especially in rainy weather. The roads leading to the resort are steep and narrow, so only experienced drivers should navigate them with confidence.||Accommodation: The rooms are tidy and well-maintained, contributing to a comfortable stay. One minor issue we encountered was with getting continuous hot water, which might be due to the geyser system.||Service & Dining: The room service was efficient and satisfactory. The meals provided were consistently good, with a breakfast that stood out as particularly enjoyable. Lunch and dinner were also well-prepared and flavorful.||Activities: The resort offers a complimentary 2 km trek to nearby rocks, streams, and a viewpoint. This trek is a fantastic way to experience the natural beauty surrounding the resort.||Facilities & Staff: The restaurant is well-maintained and adds to the overall positive experience. The staff throughout the stay were polite and attentive, enhancing our stay.

During our recent vacation to Munnar, Kerala, my friends and I stayed at the Neelakurunji Luxury Plantation Bungalow, and it was a truly memorable experience. The resort is located far away from the busy town of Munnar, nestled deep within a serene forest area. This peaceful retreat is perfect for those who enjoy being surrounded by nature, with its lush greenery, vibrant gardens, and a small lake that flows through the property, enhancing the feeling of tranquility.||The ambiance of the bungalow offers a close connection with nature, allowing you to relax and unwind to the soothing sounds of the forest. It's an ideal spot for those looking to escape the noise and bustle of urban life and immerse themselves in the calming presence of the natural world.||The food was also a highlight of our stay, with the breakfast being particularly delightful—both in taste and in portion size. It was a satisfying start to each day, contributing to the overall comfort of our stay.||I would highly recommend Neelakurunji Luxury Plantation Bungalow to anyone who wishes to experience the serenity of nature in a luxurious setting. We had a great stay at Neelakurinji. The staff were so welcoming and the food was also good.|The property is so beautiful and peaceful. We would definitely plan to visit there again.|Its a bit difficult to get to the property and do not follow the Google map route. The staff will explain the route to follow.|However the place is really worth it!!

Serene and peaceful location for rejuvenation and de-stressing. We spent 2 nights at the property with our family including parents and it was an incredible experience. Weather was also quite pleasant with the occasional light rain. We enjoyed the homely hospitality. Only the approach road from the highway to the property is bumpy and has steep climb, so a 4x4 or a good SUV would be great to navigate. The journey to reach the property is in itself an experience. Must visit..

The resort is located in a secluded area, making it ideal for a private staycation. The staff are very cooperative and welcoming, and the food was excellent. Overall, the place is amazing, with the soothing sounds of chirping birds and a nearby waterfall enhancing the experience. |Would definitely revisit this resort !!
