recently stayed at Kerala Cottage in Varkala and absolutely loved the experience. From the moment we arrived, everything felt peaceful, welcoming, and beautifully maintained. Our 3-day stay was truly memorable, and I would definitely visit again — this time with family as well. The staff deserves a special mention for their polite, cooperative, and friendly nature. They were always available to help and made the stay even more comfortable. The breakfast was excellent — fresh, flavorful, and a great way to start the day. The ambience, hospitality, comfort, and location all come together perfectly here. If you’re looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway in Varkala, Kerala Cottage is highly recommended! 🌿✨

My wife and I stayed at Kerala Cottage, Odayam Beach, near Varkala Beach for three nights. The cottage was spacious and comfortable with a balcony view of the sea. Clean and nice. The Internet was good.|Breakfast was included, with various options, including local specialities. Very delicious.|The mainly female staff were very friendly.|It is a quiet place, about a 300-meter walk to the beach. The sea was rough, with big waves and a strong current.|The hotel does not have a license to serve alcohol, so no beer in the evening. No coconut water as a welcome drink, upon arrival, although we were in coconut land. The hotel’s restaurant was under renovation, so we had lunch/dinner at other restaurants, about 500 meters away.|I can recommend this hotel; however, it is overpriced compared with other hotels in Kerala, where I have stayed.

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would have !! If you are looking to create some of the best memories during your trip, Kerala Cottage is where you HAVE TO stay ! Here are more details on why I loved my 2-day stay in Oct 2025: 🔸Polite, friendly, helpful & even jovial owner (Mr. Thayoob), property manager (Nevin) & entire staff. They are available at the property when you need anything. Every service is provided with a genuine, sweet smile. 🔸Rooms are spacious, newly made, clean & hygienic (bathroom is super clean and huge). The wooden finish gives you the experience of staying in an authentic Kerala house. Total charmer ! 🔸Want a view? Open your room door and you will be blessed with such a splendid view that you wouldn't mind cancelling all your sightseeing trips. I just couldn't get enough. (We stayed at C8). 🔸 Sufficient car parking space, green grass surrounded by coconut trees with a walking trail and beach view (+access) & the shore-crashing waves welcome you into the cottage. 🔸 Breakfast spread has ample options, is freshly prepared and tastes like homemade food 😍. Perfect for pure veg/jain as separate vessels are used to prepare egg-based items. 🔸The place is slightly secluded, offering privacy & a quiet stay at quite a reasonable pricing.. The roads leading to the cottage are narrow however, the experience, view n stay is totally worth it. Highly recommend it !! Thank you team for the lovely stay. Hope to visit again.

Loved this Property. We have stayed at this beautiful property for 2 Nights and this was an awesome experience. The best part of this resort is that all rooms are sea-facing. You could see the mesmerizing view of the Arabian Sea as you open your room doors. There are sea-facing balconies, a Sitting Area, and a Garden as the top amenities. Loved the staff behavior- Mr. Naveee is so humble and attentive that you could feel honoured staying here. He is a nice gem and a True example of Hospitality. My only recommendation is to start the restaurant as early as possible, and this will add more charm. However, the complimentary breakfast is served here. Just come and enjoy the serenity and awesomeness of the Kerala Cottage and live for an unforgettable moment here.

I had a wonderful stay at Kerala Cottage. The cottage was charming, the location unbeatable, and the staff friendly and welcoming. A short walk to Varkala Cliff brings you to the hive of shops and restaurants, but if you're looking for empty beaches and a calm location, this can't be beat. The breakfast is delicious too!

The Manager Nevan is amazing and all his stuff. What ever you ask they give you right away. I booked for 2 nights and stayed 9 nights. They are so friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great. The view of f the ocean from the room and sunsets are stunning. The owner Thayoob is so kind and friendly, and helped me when I had accident. I really love those people like family. Was very sad to leave. Them and the place made my vacation so extraordinary.

I had a great time during my stay. The rooms are clean, you can see the sea from your room, and the sunset looks so scenic from this place, the entire sky turns beautiful with orange hues. Nevin (host) was super helpful, kind, and patient with everything we asked. We would definitely like to visit again.

Our stay at kerala cottage was fine. Rooms are spacious and clean. The location is awesome. You get the cliff view as well as the small portion of beach right in front of the room. One area of improvement can be the restaurant. Since it is a small place they prepare the food inhouse and hence limited options. Also there is no other meal on offer other than breakfast. Overall the stay was nice. On the pricing side, it looks a bit expensive as there are no other amenities and restaurant on offer.
