Sereniity Resort , Lonavala

A few of us planned a quick getaway to Lonavala and booked Sereniity Resort. The property turned out to be really nice and comfortable. There’s enough open space to sit around, chill, and have conversations, and the evenings felt amazing with the cool weather. The staff was always available whenever we needed anything, and they made sure our stay was smooth. We ended up spending hours just sitting together and laughing. It was simple but perfect — exactly how a weekend trip with friends should feel.

Hello all, My review is not about the stay, the food or the rooms but of the horrendous experience with the owners and staff of Serenity. My family owns a digital marketing company and every year for my father’s birthday all our staff go to a retreat. Last year in the month of July all our staff was supposed to visit Serenity. We had paid an advance of 1 lakh rupees for our stay. Just a week prior to our visit my father had a sudden heart attack and he passed away. My team tried to reach the hotel multiple times but nobody responded. We connected with the owners of the place to get a solution but no response from them. Obviously we had to cancel but even after week there was no response from the hotel. I understand that July is a big month for hotels in Lonavala and losing out on such a big business on weekend can be daunting but still this is no way to run a business. Two of my managers drover down to the hotel to seek a resolution. We asked the hotel and its owners that since they cannot refund which was clear from their lack of communication you can give us a credit for the amount paid but even so they said they would only credit 50% amount and that was to be used in a restricted timeline. As a business owner I understand losing out on business i tough but no business can be above a human. This is highly unethical. I am writing this review a year later as we were still trying to seek a solution from them but eventually we stopped after lots and lots of phone calls. Request the owners to kindly run a ethical business. And for companies who may want to book it for a retreat kindly beware of the scam.

Rooms are not nice at all. They need to improve a lot. Everything else was fantastic. Service is good. Food is awesome. Plenty of parking. Nice location.

Loved this place. The food was very good. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms/ villa was very clean and nice. Nature was awesome. Had a great time and a wonderful stay. Would highly recommend everyone to visit this place. I will surely be visiting again...

Full fake or paid reviews. Take my word before any booking & I rarely do reviews and thought this will be helpful. Stayed on 15-Aug-2025 with family. ( Booking : Arunkumar K) 1. Their plates in the restaurant is unclean, unhygienic and with stains. 2. Staffs in the restaurant is unprofessional, local guys with uniform, doesn't know anything about hospitality, even the helper at your local chai wala is better. 3. Water and galsses not served at the restaurant during lunch and dinner. 4. When asked, served for few, not for all. 5. There were no water kettle provided in the room, when asked, got rejected after 30 minutes saying unavailability of kettle. 6. No food served on time at the room, and I have cancelled after 1 hours. 7. There were 3 water bottles available in the rooms, for both 2 adults and 2 adults+2 kids rooms, when asked for an extra bottle for the 2+2 family, they were charging Rs.42, claiming they will provide only two water bottles. 8. Lady sitting at the reception, seems to have the power to take the decisions was unprofessional, not helpful and arguing about the water bottles kept at the rooms. 9. The rooms are very small, single coat beds are attached for double coat, not king size is provided for 2+2 family.

It is surprising how Serenity Resort is called a resort! A resort is a full service lodging facility that provides not only accommodation but also a wide range of recreational activities. But none is available here. Resorts are often located i vacation destinations such as beaches, mountains or forests and are designed guests a complete holiday experience making them ideal for relaxation and leisure. We can't expect this from Serenity as it is located within the city itself. We can have accommodation and dining. So we call Serenity Resort as Serenity Hotel.

We had a beautiful experience at Serenity Resort Lonavala. It was a sudden plan to have a family get together over the weekend nad fortunately we got 2 villas (which were supposedly the last two left). The villas are well maintained, staff is very cooperative and food is not bad. The pool though a little small for the size of the resort, was fun since no other guests came to the pool at the time we were using. There must be a better children's play area. The current one is tooo small. The owner lady is available and accepts inputs.

I had horrible experience. All my money had waste. I didnt see this kind of rooms in any resort. I will suggest not to visit this resort if you want a good holiday. Rooms are clumsy, not properly cleaned. Poor in hygiene. Staffs are not mannered, specially one staff member name is Anil, he don't know how to speak with customers and taking extra charges in evert prospect. Services are poor, bedsheets in rooms are not changing while handling the rooms.
