Beautiful location and the ambience of this old building is very good. The caretakers are so friendly and helpful. Loved their high-quality tea from their own factory. Very peaceful. The only negative we faced was that the flush dont work well in the bathrooms.. The water fills very slowly. Apart from that, nothing negative to say about this place.Beware of leeches during the monsoon.

Wonderful place. Set far away from the hustle and bustle, makes one really feel at peace. Been here 2 times, loved it both the times. Amberina is a wonderful host and her staff, Vinod and Babu are also the best human beings you can find in the industry. They got a home made cake for us as we were celebrating a birthday as well. We were there in Jan 2021, and Aug 2025 ❤️

This is one of the most quite and beautiful place where you can visit to just relax and escape from all headaches and tensions. There are only 4 rooms and this property is in middle of a tea estate and also has its own tea factory. This property was originally a British period bungalow which was renovated later hence each and everything in the property is kind of antique and one of a kind. I have to mention about the food it’s top notch you will feel like you are having food at a luxurious hotel it’s not just because of taste but their presentation skill. Last but not the least I have to mention Babu who is the estate incharge he will make you feel home and he is so friendly, he will always pays attention to each and every guests making sure if they have any specific request it might be regarding food and rooms as well.

A quaint, beautiful & charming place. If you're looking for home comforts in peaceful surroundings, this is the place. A lovely cottage with old world ambience & tastefully done up rooms. A common room cum dining hall and spacious verandah strewn around with interesting memorabilia. Plenty of walking options around.

We were looking for a good place to stay and relax, away from the busy life we are surrounded with. Amberina turned out to be what we were looking for, a nice cottage amidst the tea estate with good weather, no crowd!. It's exactly as the pictures tell, no filters! Service was good, staff were always available, food was good and simple and the tea was a different flavour itself!!Since it was raining we missed the plantation walk but we got to visit the tea factory and take back some tea leaves.

The ambience of the place is quite good. I spent a day with family there. We were guided to the location by the person in charge, Mr. Babu. Babu was very helpful, friendly and provided whatever we needed. He knows the locale very well, is genuinely interested in the plants and animals around. What I really loved was the 'home' part of the homestay! The room we were provided was lovely with the archaic, ethnic feel and charm of the classically simple! In fact the whole place is so. The spacious veranda of Amberina not only provides the laidback feel and but rings bells too! |Amberina stays warm in the memory and I sure would like to visit again. Food was good but more variety can help, I felt. When we were there, there was another couple with a gutar-playing, singing husband. So we got music for free while we watched the stars in the lawn outside! |Thank you for the experience.

Had the best 3 night stay in the property. The location, driving up the beaten tea estate road is a mini adventure of its own, bring a 4x4 / SUV if you want peace driving up and down. The bungalow is a beauty of its own, with the vintage charms and rustic ambiance of the colonial era. The hospitality is really amazing, kudos to Babu, Mini Akka's amazing food. Do visit if you want to stay away from the hustle life culture.
