Kalyan Lake Resort

Excellent surroundings, huge area, friendly dogs, great hospitality and services. Alcohol is not available, dj is not allowed, even the dinning area is no smoking zone. Really a nice stay for gentle and peace loving people. I would surely love to revisit.

I had a very disappointing stay at Kalyan Lake Resort, particularly in the Swish Tent House. The tent was in terrible condition—rotten fabric with several holes, making it feel unsafe and uncomfortable. There was no electricity for a long time during the night, adding to the inconvenience. Security was completely lacking, and other guests were peeking into our tent through the window, which was extremely disturbing. The only saving grace was the food, which was genuinely lip-smacking and well-prepared. Unfortunately, the overall experience was far from relaxing and definitely not worth the stay.

We visited the resort in Muraddi (not Purulia) during the Monsoon period and it was quite a lovely stay. The view from the resort is marvelous. They have a great local cuisine and the taste was amazing. The staff is well behaved, polite but very much pokey, kind of irritating for placing the food order. (For eg., while having breakfast I had to give the Lunch order. Similarly, when I was driving through the Ayodhya Hills in the afternoon, I had to place my dinner order while driving. Things can wait is the sense which were missing, but can definitely improve) There were local medicine shop, grocery shop just outside the resort which I find it as a necessity. For the other resorts you need to walk, ride or drive for a while.

Had a great stay here for a night... just next to burundi lake, far away from the daily chaos... Great food and very good service

Highly recommended.. Recently we visited Boronti and stayed here.The view from room it was totally mesmerised .Staff behaviour also very friendly..Room is good and clean .must visit

I visited Kalyan Lake Resort in Baranti, Purulia last week with my family, and it was a wonderful experience. The resort is situated in a peaceful location with a beautiful view of the lake, which made our stay truly refreshing. The property is quite spacious, giving us enough room to walk around and enjoy nature. The rooms were clean and cosy, providing a comfortable stay. The food was tasty, and we enjoyed every meal. Another highlight was the reception staff, who were very responsive and ensured smooth check-in and assistance throughout our stay. The hospitality of the staff in general was commendable—they were polite, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, it was a relaxing getaway, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet retreat in the lap of nature. Rating: 8/10.
