Beach Road House

We just spent a couple of nights here and it was great. Alaskan hospitality at its finest! The cabin was warm and quiet. Great communal fire pit. It’s close to town and the ocean. I highly recommend staying here!

The hotel was great. Large spacious rooms with comfortable bedding. Also close to both downtown Haines and the Battery Point trail and park.||The owners were also incredibly helpful and nice. I had made a booking error and they helped me sort it out with quick responses to phone and email. Very kind and generous.||The check-in and check-out process were also well organized and seamless.

The rooms were large and comfy. Included a kitchenette. The hotel is a great location a short drive out of town but you can walk to the nearby state park and Battery Point trail. The owners are very friendly and kind. Easy to contact via phone or email and helped me resolve a last minute booking error (my mistake) easily and without fuss. The check-in and check-out process was well organized and easy. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it.

Great place to stay just outside Haines. The cabin was super cozy and we enjoyed sitting on the deck with a beautiful view. Check in was easy and there is a binder in the cabin full of local information and all you need to know about your stay.

We stayed in Cabin 3. Two bedrooms upstairs with queen beds and a single bed on the landing. The cabin looked almost new. It had everything we needed, including sharp knives.| The setting is in old forest. There are small lawns and a fire pit for relaxing. The area is very quiet. You’d never guess that you were a thousand yards from a cruise ship.| Check-in couldn’t be simpler. You just walk in and the key is on the table.

The cottages are set on a hill in a very wooded area. Parking is minimal so only 1 vehicle per unit. When I opened the door I instantly fell in love. It was very roomy and warmly decorated. I liked the self serve atmosphere. The office was closed when we arrived. Our paperwork, with all necessary information, was taped to the door. It appeared the owners lived in the big house on the property, but we never saw them during our stay.

This is one of our favourite places on earth! Nowhere I would rather stay in Haines, and we look forward to our yearly adventure. I think this was the 6th or 7th year we've stayed and I hope we can continue this tradition for many more years to come. Amber, Todd, and their family are the best hosts you could ask for. Quiet, peaceful, and beautiful spot with comfortable and well-appointed cabins.

Stayed 3 nights, and staged our Alsek River trip food pack and loadout here. Worked well for that. Nicely appointed, clean rooms and cabins in a beautiful forest setting with well maintained grounds. Great place, run by great folks. Highly recommended!
