NillStayed in the North building which offers more space and a small kitchen. Downside it’s quite loud (it’s on the PCH), and there are no blackout curtains for the skylight or the frosted door. So get ready to wake up with the sun! Room was falling apart, fireplace piece just decided to fall off randomly. Also, the fireplace barely works and the glass is hazy. The trashcan door was broken and didn’t shut all the way. There is water damage at and around the skylight area, and paint is chipped and missing everywhere. When leaving the parking garage, our car was covered in murky water leaking from one of the pipes, told the front desk and the guy just stared and said email them to the company but no apology or offer of partial refund for all the issues. Location is what you are getting and nothing else. I would spend a little more and stay at a nice place and not this dump.

NillI made reservations at your hotel on 11/01/24 for the weekend of 11/15/24. I attempted to cancel/reschedule the reservation on 11/03/24 (two days after reserving) due to the unexpected DEATH of my daughter. 100% fees already posted on my credit card. I've talked to FOUR different receptionists at your front desk about my situation and asked for a return call from the manager. Management has yet to contact me. I have been a returning guest at this hotel over the past 7 years. My daughter and I created great memories together here. SHE was also a returning hotel guest who had several stays with you. I am heartbroken to leave this review about a place that was once very special to me. Your staff and management team have stripped me of my dignity by having to repeat the story of the very tragic loss of my daughter, but mostly I am ashamed FOR you as human beings, and I hope you will always remember this complaint, ESPECIALLY if you are a parent.

NillDo NOT stay here, especially families. Only stayed one night here and keep in mind i have a 1yr child. The bathroom was INFESTED with ants that i was killing off the counter and toilet. There was a strong mildew ODOR coming from the right hand corner of the bathroom counter where you could clearly see had water damage from the rain. My husband told me not to complain as we were only there for one night but honestly unacceptable. Upon mentioning it to staff at check out, the teenagers gave a look to each other, smirked and simply wrote me off. I’m assuming i’m not the first to say something. The free breakfast consisted of a sad box of donuts and apples, much better off going out for breakfast. I WILL NOT be back. the price was outrageous for the room we were given and the service received. Photo from outside the room I was in, for proof I did in fact stay.

NillGreat location with the beach walking distance. Ralph's supermarket next door and great coffee shop and taco stand across the road. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. Very much enjoyed staying there.

★★★★★I don’t even want to tell you have how amazing this place is because I want to keep it all to myself! This hidden gem 💎 is so close to the ocean!! I read online that the closest area there does have quick rising tides and to be watchful. We did watch them rise pretty quickly while we were there. The ocean is stunning the hotel is comfortable and feels like home. It’s smack dab in the middle of paradise. The taco stand across the street offers high end Hispanic food you can grab to go quickly.|My honeymoon has been everything I dreamed of! Thank you west end for the beautiful rooms and great hospitality!

NillCannot beat the price!!! You do have to pay for parking. Which is annoying but a lot of hotels are doing that now. Stayed for Ohana Fest. Easy, cheap, rooms are basic and rundown but the hotel lobby and pool are amazing for the price. Orange cafe is across the street I got breakfast to go and ate by the beautiful pool.

★★★★★This hotel gets a bad rap, some of the reviews on various sites nearly scared me away from booking my solo trip here but I’m so glad I did! Yes, building is old, rooms are dated (although it appeared they’re renovating - this caused zero disruption in my stay), but the character of this property just can’t be replicated in the newer chain hotels. My room was clean and comfortable and the grounds were well maintained. The location was so convenient to the beach, restaurants and shopping that I didn’t spend any time at the pool but really enjoyed the ambiance the beautiful courtyard offered as I was coming and going. My check in experience was excellent, lots of great recommendations for plant-based options for food nearby. I didn’t have a vehicle so didn’t pay for parking but was convenient for those who took advantage. Will be back!!!||Two things to note - courtyard noise was evident (not much to muffle it from the exterior entrance) and no microwave in the room (but one in the lobby).
