NillOkay I hardly ever complain however this hotel is an exception. If you are looking for hotels in San Diego I advise to stay away from this one. Came here as a little treat with my husband over valentines weekend (big mistake). We thought it was a cute little hotel. When we checked in all was well. But then when we went to the room.... it was a whole different room than what we had initially booked... I didn't wanna say anything but obviously we gotta get what we paid for right? We went to the main lobby and the man had told us the website we used to book was like a 3rd party site etc etc and that they had overbooked and didn't have enough rooms. We then got another room (it still wasn't what we originally booked) so I mean oh well. as nice as the hotel is, you'd think they good water pressure. NOPE! The sink was absolutely terrible and such a chore to wash my hands. It was like washing my hands with 2 drops of water. Then the shower pressure was even worse. Terrible terrible experience. We then issued a complaint to the site we booked with (they were incredible and extremely accommodating to our experience we had at this hotel). I guess the hotel caught wind of this and they personally called my husband and started an argument with him over OUR bad experience! We were told we were not welcome again. Which is ridiculous. It would've been fine but they tried giving us the wrong room without a heads up , not even a call or an email saying "we overbooked" or "here's a refund". I've never had this bad of an experience with a hotel. Do better.

NillThe hotel is in a nice location and the people at the front deck are nice but that’s where it ends. What we didn’t know was how loud it is. The view from the north side is good but don’t open the slider to the balcony because the noise is awful. Between the airplanes and freeway traffic, be prepared. Even with the door closed it’s bad. The beds are not comfortable. The toilet would not shut off and the a/c was extremely loud. We changed rooms two days later to the south side. It’s even noisier during the day with the jackhammers around the pool. I’d post a video but I don’t think that’s allowed. The price for the room is expensive and the hotel should’ve accommodated for that either way complementary meals and/or major discounts. We are here for a convention and sad we chose this hotel. The parking is very tight so if you have a wide or big vehicle, think again before booking. The staff was nice. I doubt that Marriott will do anything about this but please be warned.

NillClean rooms with plenty of space, nice finishes, good views, excellent water pressure, high-end bath products. I never had to wait an abnormal amount of time for elevators like previous reviewers have mentioned. Breakfast was complimentary prepared pastries and coffee, which was fine. Hotel is in the midst of a transition and it seems to be being managed well through this time. Little Italy and the waterfront are a short walk and offer tons to eat and do. Gaslamp quarter and downtown is also walkable.

NillIf I could give zero stars I would. When I booked this hotel initially it was supposed to have a restaurant and pool. When I arrived it was all shut down for construction. They started construction super early in the morning and it was super loud. The room wasnt the cleanest and the shower was gross. On top of that there was a homeless encampment right outside the doors. There was even a giant turd right on the side walk in front of the hotel. I was told I had to stay the 1st night, but as long as I checked out the following morning I'd get a refund for the rest of my 3 nights. We'll its been a month and I've been fighting with the hotel because I have yet to get my refund.

NillNope! Definitely don’t stay if you have a large car or truck. There’s nothing right about this hotel at all. They’re doing renovation so hopefully that will make it much better and they need to reconstruct the parking garage as well. The water sounds like a machine gun while it’s running. Walls are paper thin. You can get everything around you especially the shower above you. And the worst thing is the $40 parking for a garage that’s only well equipped for a compact car. We were in a regular size truck and when I tell you going through this s shaped curves and then the quick left to get out was a nightmare. They should be ashamed. The mirror on the passenger side scraped the wall even after backing up and going forward a few times to straighten up as much as possible to squeeze through and get out. We should be refunded our parking fee!!!

NillBad hotel. Wildly overpriced. Carpeted rooms were mildewey, left the windows (which don't insulate sound from the adjacent highway at all) open to help. No hot water on day 4 of my stay. The gym is a complete non-starter, the dumbbells are completely disintegrating, leaving residue in the hands, use a towel to pick these up. Cable machine missing parts. Expect a 10 minute wait for an elevator if you are above floor 5. Restaurant was being renovated during our stay so toast and coffee were the only breakfast options. Location is good. Bathroom is fine. Linens were clean. Room was spacious.

NillRoom was very comfy, only had 2 towels & 2 was cloths so room service brought a bath mat and extra towels - loved the balcony/view At 4pm check in time our room still wasn't ready, they needed 30 more minutes, NOT cool. They give you free soggy cannoli at the reception desk. :( Sadly they were renovating so the pool facilities were not available. Location is great relative to food and little italy walkability... BUT very close to highway noise too. Overall a good value for about $150/night standard double room. $40/night parking is a necessary evil bcuz there's no real alternative on the street.

NillRooms are basic but nice.. so far the staff is very friendly very nice very helpful... Location is good restaurants all around they have special discounts for restaurants that are nearby them for hotel guests... Only drawback I see is a lot of homeless around but we're downtown so that's expected but other than that very satisfied
