NillMy wife and I stayed here for a weekend getaway and loved the hotel. Our room was pretty basic but very clean and we had a great View. The staff was friendly and professional. We use the valet parking because parking in Downtown San Diego is a nightmare. On the other hand there is a ton to see and do within walking distance. We walked 6 or 7 blocks to dinner one night about 9:00 p.m. and felt safe. Overall a very nice place and would stay here again.

★★★★★Best experience at a hotel ever! The staff were incredibly welcoming and generous. Notable stand out staff: Jenny and Imani at the front desk were so welcoming as soon as my boyfriend and I entered the lobby! I happen to be a diamond elite member with HG and they treated me like royalty! I felt like a famous person it was such an amazing way to feel! My boyfriend and i decided to have breakfast at the hotel since everyone was so nice and we are so glad we did, not only was the food amazing, but Victor, Sergio and Robert were amazing and very attentive and made sure our breakfast experience was top tier! Honestly these guys had a big ol cup of happiness in the morning! We had the steak breakfast which was very tender and blew us away and some delicious coffee and orange juice that tastes like heaven! Overall an amazing experience for mine and my boyfriend's anniversary staycation in San Diego! We loved our suite on the 12th floor, very nice room! Everything was clean and very modern. We will definitely be returning!

NillThis review is long overdue! Since 2024, this hotel has been my go-to choice whenever I need a place to stay in San Diego. The customer service here is consistently excellent, and the rooms are always clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. One of the biggest perks is that I can bring my dog with me, which makes traveling so much easier. What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is the exceptional service provided by Harmony at the front desk. From my very first stay, Harmony has gone above and beyond to make me feel welcome. She is attentive, professional, and always quick to address any needs or questions I have. Harmony’s warm and thoughtful approach is a big reason why staying here is the best. Thank you, Harmony, for making every visit such a pleasant experience!

★★★★★Overall, this is a pretty good hotel. Good location. The hotel staff was exceptional and really made our stay better because of the friendly and helpful staff. Harmony, at the front desk and Sergio, in the restaurant, deserve shout outs because they really went above and beyond. Both are true assets and I hope they are appreciated and recognized by their employer. The staff can make or break a stay and the staff at this hotel will make it!

Staff at lobby and Borrego are friendly and eager to help (kuddos to Maya and everyone at Borrego for a FANTASTIC job every night!). However, housekeeping...we had an issue with them EVERY DAY. As much as lobby staff wanted to help, housekeeping is just not up to par. Great place? Yes Nice area/location? Yes Friendly staff? Yes Housekeeping up to par? No

★★★★★Overall perfect stay. Room was clean, check in was easy. Even with it being New Years and having a lobby full of people, the hotel still ran smoothly. The lines for the elevators were crazy but it went by quickly. Loved our stay and will 100% be back next time I’m in SD.

★We went to check into our hotel and their system was down so they could not che k us in or give us a room. The guy working the front desk was doing his best. He gave us drink coupons and told us to go to the food top bar and have a drink. We went up and they told us their system was down and they couldn’t serve us. I explained we had free drink coupons so he offered us a beer or glass of wine. After over an hour since our arrival we went downstairs to get our room and could not still check in at this point I’ve been up for at least 22 hrs. Finally they tell us they will give us a room but we won’t have a key we will need to come down in the morning for a key. The room was well bellow my expectations as a member with status but at this point I just need to sleep. We went down in the morning still unable to get a key so anytime we left we had to be escorted to our room. That’s assured privacy! We went down for our free breakfast still no mimosas because their systems are down. After breakfast the gal at the front desk said she could give us a key and she was horrified at the room they had given us an upgraded or room. I asked to speak to her manager JT Hovis. This is where it goes from bad to worse. I explained to him what had happened and how amazing his staff was with zero support from any of their management team. This is the pint he started throwing one excuse after another never taking any responsibility or accountability. He then offered us a credit for our stay I thanked him after calling him out on his very poor listening skills and customer service skills. The next day we went to check out and no credit was given. Thankfully JT Hovis was there and he again made an excuse saying he was so busy yesterday so again I had to wait for him to do the adjustment and credit my card. I love IHG hotels and rarely have issues but this one was horrible.

★★★★The location of this hotel is excellent! It is valet parking only, but that is understandable with where it is. The 9th floor bar is nice and has excellent views. My only concern is that the hotel offers 500 bonus points per day for “Greener Stay”, by not having housekeeping. I did this every day and did not receive any points for this. I asked multiple members of the front desk staff, and all stated that they weren’t trained on this and would pass along the request to their manager. A week later, and no points. If you’re going to offer a perk/reward, at least have your staff trained to do so and not be dependent on the manager. Overall, it was a great stay and I would definitely visit again.
