Candlewood Suites San Diego, an IHG Hotel

My sister and I stayed at Candlewood Suites San Diego for a long weekend trip. It was absolutely perfect! Everyone was very friendly, the room was clean and the location was only 10 minutes away from all the places we wanted to go. We would both highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in the area. We booked it because there was a full kitchen but there were so many other amenities we didn't even expect! Definitely a 10 out of 10!

Welcome was great. The staff is very friendly, helpful, professional, and caring. The room was clean and I appreciated the room upgrade. The shower pressure was very good. The bed was very comfortable. The television had an abundance of channels and I only had one issue. Unfortunately the walls are very very thin. You can readily hear the guests next door speaking in a normal tone of voice. As well as crying babies if they are present.

Very nice 2 BD / 2 Bath unit at the end of the corridor was plenty of room for our family We were on the top floor (3rd floor) and it was very quite the entire stay. All the appliances worked, and we could pick up free coffee and creamer in the lobby pantry for the coffee maker in the room. Located on Hotel Circle and just off I-8 it was very convenient to all major site seeing in the San Diego area

This hotel exceeded expectations with its exceptional service! The staff was always friendly and available over the phone to assist with any questions. The spacious, well-appointed rooms provided a comfortable stay, and the convenient location made exploring the area a breeze. Highly recommend for anyone seeking quality and convenience.

This hotel was easy to stay at. Large rooms with lots of blankets and pillows, large TVs, good wifi. lacked friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. Need to update amenities such as fresh coffee and snack selection. Also, doors to room from elevator was not secured with key entry. This hotel has a lot of potential. Needs more of the IHG touch. Great restaurant close by called Crust.

I work at Point Loma, so this hotel location was within 15 minutes of my workplace. I enjoyed having a Kitchenette and king size bed. The service was friendly and very responsive. I have no issues with the staff. The laundry room being free to use the washer and dryer is a huge plus.

I love IHG properties and this hotel was different. Late night staff was not too friendly and welcoming. I was the only person there but still didn't feel important. It seemed like i was bothering her from her duties at the time. Parking was limited and parking lot was not too well light. I do lots of events during the day and just need a safe place to sleep. I am sure this is a great place for others, but it was not for us. I am sorry for this review, but it took me this long to feel comfortable to write it.

Hotel needs updating. No food on site. Laundy on site but dyer(s) were not working. Good location-close to I-5. Within walking distance to several eating establishments. Daily rate was better that at the airport.
