TownePlace Suites San Diego Airport/Liberty Station

We arrived at the hotel on a Monday afternoon. Although the standard check-in time is 4:00 PM, the staff was very accommodating and had a room ready for us when we arrived at noon. This was especially appreciated since we had a car full of luggage and Christmas presents that we didn’t want to leave unattended while visiting Balboa Park.||I requested a top-floor room away from elevators, ice machines, and the outdoor pool, and the hotel honored all of these requests without issue.||Both the desk clerk and manager were fantastic, providing outstanding customer service.||Our room, with two queen beds, was incredibly spacious—nearly twice the size of a typical hotel room. The bathroom was also very large, and the full-size refrigerator and microwave were welcome additions.||The hotel was very clean, featuring a large, welcoming lobby and a spacious breakfast area. However, there is a $20/day parking charge, which seemed unnecessary given the ample parking space around the hotel.||The Wi-Fi speed was 20 Mbps for both uploads and downloads, and we experienced no interruptions during our stay. While we could hear airplanes taking off from our room, the noise stopped around 9 PM and didn’t resume until approximately 7 AM. Our room was otherwise very quiet throughout the night. Everything in the room worked perfectly, with one exception: the heating system didn’t blow warm air, even when the thermostat was set to a high temperature. It only seemed to circulate ambient air. Thankfully, this wasn’t a major issue as the weather wasn’t too cold during our stay.||The complimentary breakfast buffet offered a wide selection of items, including all the usual fare. I particularly enjoyed the chocolate chip scones! The coffee was also strong and flavorful.||We were told at check in that our room would be serviced once during our 3 day stay, but no one did so||In summary, we had another wonderful and peaceful stay at this property. I will definitely return in the future, provided their room prices remain reasonable.

I had good experience here at TownPlace. Stayed for 5 nights for work. breakfast was Okay. But my room was very spacious with bath tub which I requested, and they gladly changed my reservation from King to 2Queen room to get the tub. Kitchen was great with full size fridge. Shuttle service to airport was prompt. Staff were all very friendly and nothing but good experience here. 👍🏻👍🏻 One thing: wish there were better tea selections. Also electric kettle would be nice to have on list of appliances to check out.

We had a wonderful stay at TownePlace Suites near San Diego airport. All of the employees were very friendly & helpful—including the shuttle drivers & the front desk receptionists. Everyone made us feel very welcome. We had a great conversation with Ayesha & Kristin (sorry, I’m not sure on the spelling.) Our room was clean and comfortable. The beds felt new & firm which was great. The TV in our room was in kind of an odd spot. The tub was quite slippery & I should’ve used the rubber mat. Just be careful. We absolutely loved having a kitchen! So convenient. The refrigerator was full-size. The appliances all worked great. We did hear airplanes a few times, but that’s to be expected when you’re staying near an airport. The noise wasn’t bad at all. It was really nice not hearing freeway noise because the hotel is a ways off the freeway. I definitely slept well! We would definitely stay at this hotel again. It was our best hotel experience in quite a while. I highly recommend TownePlace Suites San Diego Airport.

Great experience... be aware of delay with breakfast due to many people eating. Free breakfasts are like that. Also, they may be short staffed as they said they would send maintenance for an issue with the Netflix, and also for extra towels. I looked for housekeeping for the towels after 2 hours and watched the free MAX option because no one showed up. The hotel is very clean. Patience is key. Especially for the holidays.

The front desk staff was very nice. They however have me a room that appeared to be clean but the more I looked around the dirtier it got lol I could tell the person before me had kids because the restroom door was filled with handprints and the shower floor was not cleaned well either. Their ottoman was very dirty once I moved it and tried to use it. I believe they half ass their cleaning so bring Clorox wipes. Also my room did not smell very good it had a musty, mold smell.

We have stayed at the TPS Liberty Station a few times now. It is a consistent property with a friendly staff. ||This trip our room was upgraded to the two-bedroom suite with my Bonvoy NUA. These seem tougher and tougher to use these days...I never thought I use one at a TPS but better here and than have them expire after multiple attempts at other properties. The two bedroom was handy with the extra room.||Breakfast was standard TPS and tasty. The breakfast area was clean and well managed by the staff.||The hotel is very close to the airport terminals...the current construction might make it quicker to get to the hotel. A short wait after calling for the shuttle made it easy to get to and from the airport.||Plenty of restaurants in the area...nothing really walkable. One of our favorites in San Diego is Point Loma Seafood just a couple minutes away.||A good stay...we'll always consider this hotel. Prices and redemption rates vary so much in San Diego I have a short list of properties that I check...this one is always a consideration.

Location is perfect, 3 minute shuttle ride to the airport. Clean and quiet, with modern rooms/amenities. Our room occasionally smelled like jet fuel fumes and the water pressure in the shower is very low.

We've visited this hotel 6 times in 2 years. Love the area. We are Titanium Elite. We've never been offered an upgrade here. Staff is downright, not friendly or accommodating. This last trip was the worst. We were placed by the smoking area. I'm allergic to cigarette smoke. I talked to the front desk, and they said they had nothing and would try tomorrow. I may check out if they don't. Can't take the smoke. This hotel has gone downhill in the last 1 year. The air filter is also dirty. I cleaned them and sprayed them with lysol. There are also ants. We let the front desk know. They said they know it's a problem. The only bright light at the front desk is Stephanie she is nice and helpful. When you see staff in the lobby and hall, they are not friendly. Homeless sleeping in the firepit area during breakfast. BBQ pits dirty, and the area around the BBQ area is dirty.
