A great staycation for a local or family visiting town. We had a comfortable bed and the decoration around the hotel was cool to look at. The staff was polite and accommodating. The outside deck was a nice to relax at during the day. The hotel was a unique get away in San Diego that is close to many restaurants and local landmarks.

Awesome stay for 3 nights! Clean big room, killer location, walked down to the coastal area to Point Loma seafood. Went to the sushi lounge one night. Had a late night drink at bar and got some work done. Adrianna (sp?) at front desk was super friendly and helped me work through some items I needed help with.

Staff is very friendly and experienced in hosting. Fitness room was more equipment than expected and was very clean. Rooms were stylish and clean. Coffee, donuts, and liquor stores across the street! View was great, weather at the time was rainy but nonetheless still beautiful to see the bay

Great location, rooms are nice but small. Staff not the friendliest and definitely not service oriented in an industry that kinda depends on it?? No one has and change, the restaurant staff was unhelpful, everyone looks miserable and acts like you are bothering them. Checking out was hit with a $37 valet parking charge, NOT POSTED OR MENTIONED. If you plan to visit here, ask about all the potential charges you can accumulate while there, and try NOT ti ask gor anything except “how much?”

Mushrooms grew out of the carpet. (See photos) We booked a two night stay at this Hilton collection hotel expecting a level of quality on par with Hilton’s reputation. The staff and service were good and the hotel is in a nice location and well decorated. We were disgusted to find that during our last night stay mushrooms grew from the carpet next to the bed. I’d suspect this hotel has some moisture and mold issues that have been ongoing since this grew after two nights. I let the staff know upon check out, and also logged a report on Hilton’s customer feedback website. The response initially was a lackluster attempt. I expressed my disappointment with this quality and after following up multiple times (after they said they’d contact me and never did) the response was to apologize and throw a small amount of Hilton Honors points at me. I’d point out that one nights stay was 10 times the amount they gave me. I feel the response to this was unacceptable and felt like I should expect better from a Hilton hotel. I don’t feel like I am asking for too much to expect a hotel room without fungus growing from the floor.

My wife and I live on a sailboat, and it needed some maintenance in the boat yard nearby, so we decided to stay at the Monsaraz. The hotel was great, the staff were all friendly and very competent! The rooms were lovely, and the view from the patio upstairs was great. The restaurant had good food as well - we only had breakfast there, but it was good. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay, and would definitely recommend it for a short stay, rather than the Best Western or the Holiday Inn. The one downside is that I didn’t see a pool or a hot tub.

Adriana it’s an Amazing manager, she helps us with all our doubts. The entire hotel feels clean, the rooms are very comfortable and the entire staff is very friendly, from Daniel the valet to the front desk staff, like Bobby the auditor and cleaning staff. The restaurant seems abandoned with no customers and the food is very expensive, so we decided to go out to have breakfast somewhere else. Thank you for such lovely hospitality. We love you.

Rooms: The rooms were very clean, nice and modern enough, I was pleasantly surprised for a 3-Star hotel, and think this may be a lot nicer than many 3 star hotels. Everything was very comfortable, the only main drawback was that the TVs only have a handful of channels and don’t give you any option to plug in your own firestick, Roku, etc. In todays day and age, that should be an available at any decent hotel. Service: Sandra was running so many things at once but still managed to always welcome us when walking back onto the property, and wishing us a good day when leaving. I can’t say enough good things about Andy! He was running the valet with a smile on his face every single time we saw him, always greeting us and wishing us well. He was also in charge of fixing our TV that had been factory reset, and got everything working perfectly. Location: I was originally worried with it being near the airport, but it’s actually beautifully situated right next to the marina with tons of fresh air and walking distance from so many cute restaurants, breweries, coffee shops. It was so easy to walk around and we felt really safe at all times. Overall 4.5/5, I’m most likely coming back here if I want a really nice hotel at a reasonable cost.
