Fine hotel stay with the family. A few things were amiss such as the parking lot gate wasn't working. But overall a fine experience.

OK so the rooms are being remodeled but what you get for the money is amazing! We use San Diego as a stop over to rest between flights to Hawaii. We were very happy with the shuttle service and the fact that staff let us check in early and helped guide us to our room. There are so many nice amenities to this property, especially the pool and hot tub area. The location is perfect too, walking distance to nice restaurants. We will be back for sure!

This might be my new favorite hotel, and I've stayed at a lot of hotels. First, the staff was friendly and helpful. Nathon at the front desk, my shuttle drivers, and even the guy who brought my room service were all professional and personable. The main attraction for me was their PERFECT pool area. Open til 11pm! I mean 24hrs would be ideal but it is a rare find to come across a pool area that stays open past 10. The layout is efficient and comfortable. All the deck and lounge chairs are comfortable, new-looking, and nicely patterned. The whole area is clean and inviting. The pool is heated! Not hot, but very comfortable to wade into. And the hot tub... the hot tub! Large oval with lots of seating, jets with significant pressure, and a depth that is higher than most but not too high. At just over six feet tall, I often have to contort quite a bit to submerge adequately, but not here. And for any ADA folks, the assisted entry chair looked new and functional. A++ I can't wait to come back.

I'm so disappointed in the advertisement of this hotel. I booked this hotel for a girls trip thinking we would be in the main building as advertised online. We were in the other building, the motel style with doors on the outside. The room was pretty nice inside, but I would never have booked it if I knew it was motel style with an exterior door. I called to see if I could switch to the main building and they said it was completely booked. Very misleading and false advertisement. I would have gone to another hotel if I had known. I booked through a different site, but please update other sites so people know there are multiple buildings to choose from. $165+ a night- I could have stayed elsewhere where I felt safer being inside for the same price, or, I could have chosen a cheaper motel. The one lady I talked to was nice and agreed with me, but the 2 people I spoke to didn't offer anything. Nice room inside but has exterior door. Off of main street. 5 min from airport. Shuttle from airport. $21 to park per night. Comfortable beds. There's a restaurant on site that offers a big selection.

Great hotel, friendly staff, lots of parking and clean rooms. Out of view of the harbour from my room, which was beautiful to wake up and see you in the morning. Short walk to the boardwalk and lots of restaurant options around. Easy to access for parking with In-N-Out access pool and hot tub was very enjoyable after a long day walking the pier and attending the zoo.

Bait and switch on the reservation. We had stayed here before in the new tower that appears in the photos. Those rooms are nice: stylish, high ceilings, nice bathrooms. We didn't even know that the 1970s horror-flick motel buildings to the west were even part of the same property. Alas they are. After paying over $300/night to reserve the rooms, we show up to a family event only find to our deep dismay that not only are they part of the property, that is where we have been booked and oh we're very sorry sir but the tower is completely full. It also turns out that if you call the number on the Holiday Inn website to make the reservation it actually takes you to Expedia, a fact they do not disclose. The practical effect of that is that when you object to your dingy, low ceilings room with missing trim, dented furniture, and moldy grout, they tell you to call Expedia for a refund. This property is a disgrace, and 4 out of 5 of these buildings should be condemned. Apparently next week they are turning it into a Hilton, so if you're a Hilton Honors member as I am: beware! I will never stay at this property again.

This is located right by the base so we got to hear the National anthem in the morning and taps at night. The rooms are older but clean. Has fridge and microwave which was convenient. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was roomy and plenty of hot water. Good service and friendly staff. The onsite restaurant has amazing breakfast!

The staff was fantastic! Not only did I get my room right as I arrived, but they also held our bags and were extremely helpful with any questions. The room was nice and clean, though the shower was starting to have mold in the grout which they need to take care of.
