The 3 star rating on this place is very generous. This “hotel”, and I use that term loosely, was the filthiest accommodation I’ve ever stayed in. First problem was check in, where we were given keys to a room that was already occupied. Other than the total unprofessionalism that entails, it also compromised our sense of safety. Who’s to say that *our* room wasn’t going to be compromised in the same way? Second problem was that this hotel takes in homeless people and vagabonds. A lot of hotel rooms have their door open and you can see the complete filth and pestilence that’s in this “hotel”. There’s a few bikes even locked outside the doors in the exterior hallway, where you see garbage bins, wet towels, and chipping paint. The room was deplorable. Animal hair everywhere, curtains were frayed, there was hair and crumbs in the bedsheets, mysterious stains on the furniture & no towels in the bathroom. We didn’t even stay the night. We ate the money we paid and stayed at a much nicer hotel in the area. If you don’t mind sharing your accommodations with homeless people and potentially having the key to your room given to strangers, keep staying here. Otherwise, please do yourself and your family a favor and get a better, safer, more reputable stay.

We got there late and had to pass through a group of disturbing, sketchy homeless people gathered in the hallway, staring at us. At that point, the only thing that felt safe was locking ourselves in that disgusting room. Because of my headache and the late hour, I couldn't find another place, and I was honestly scared to walk to my car and pass by them again. The place is completely run-down, and the level of filth is indescribable. The sheets weren’t changed—there was a lot of random hair and stains. No towels were provided, and the room looked nothing like what was advertised online. I booked this through Chase Travel. We were up all night due to loud, random noises that scared us awake, both from upstairs and from the people outside our window. The in-room hotel phone didn’t work, and there was no way to contact management. Their phones were off, so we couldn’t even use our cell phones to reach them. At 11 PM, I was so terrified by the noise that I ran downstairs and rang the doorbell they had at the front desk. I waited for a while, but no one came. And whatever was going on outside my window only made it worse. I should have called the police, but having nowhere else to go with my child, I had to wait until early morning. When I finally saw the management and explained that we were scammed into staying there because it was nothing like what was advertised, the manager said he had nothing to do with what we saw online. He then told us that, because of some government program, the hotel was housing homeless people. I spent so much time researching the area to make sure it was safe. I understand that $90 these days doesn’t get you a luxury room, but this was on a whole other level of insanity. This place should be shut down as a hotel if they are going to use it to house homeless people. My daughter saw one of the men staring at us and felt unsafe. No one should have to go through this.

Super sketchy place. The lobby smelled like grease. There was clothes and trash everywhere on the floor when we were looking for our room.. when we got to the room there was blood on the wall with a mysterious stain not to mention the soap in the bathroom was used. There was hair follicles on the sheets and pillows along with crumb's, table and microwave were disgusting. Overall if i could give this place a 0star i would.

We stayed there as last minute option. The location is good. We weren't expecting nothing luxurious. We were. Expecting to get what we pay for. However, the room wasn't clean. So many unrecognizable stains on the wall and bed headboard. Also, the elevator to the room had no lights, only a flickering ember, it looked like we were in a horror movie while going up. All this would've been fine if when we came back from our outing, quite late at night, we discovered that our reservation was cancelled for some weird reason. We couldn't access our room anymore. Even if all our personal items were in the room and we had checked in with the clerk 12 hours earlier. It was complicated to get our room back, just showing our ID wasn't enough. This made us question even sleeping there or just leave for the night. As a frequent traveler, I've stayed in hostels and low cost accommodations when needed. However when you are considering sleeping in your car at night in San Diego, instead of the room you paid for, you know it is bad.

No towels or rags in the bathroom. Absolutely zero hot water for shower or sink. The whole place is overrun with homeless. Spend the extra 20$ and stay somewhere else. Used to be a good place for a cheap stay until management “diversified”.

ZERO STAR FOR THIS HOTEL. AVOID THIS PLACE!! They promised us a full refund cancel but NEVER replied to us, EVEN Booking.com staff. At the end, the manager shouted at us and said "DON'T CALL US ANYMORE". This hotel is filled with molds on the walls, lamp shade, a blanket and so on. If you do care about your or your loved ones' health, you definitely don't want to stay here.

Horrible place. I am pretty sure it stays open from the deposits paid and when unsatisfied customers leave because it's dirty the owner promises refunds that never returns. It's a scam. It's overpriced and it's dirty. Our room had a very noisy vent in the bathroom and dust all over it. When we complained about it they said it wasn't their best room and they changed us rooms only to find some weird white dried drops on the TV, weird line of dust on the counter and stains everywhere. All the lamps were rusted. I asked for a refund and we were said that we would get one, it's been 15 days and still nothing. I booked this through booking.com and I can't believe they let scammers on their site. Disappointing! They need to close this place down. There are other hotels in the same location.

I never write reviews but had to about this location. Quite possibly the most disgusting place I have ever booked -- I did not even stay because as soon as I walked into my room, I literally turned back around to walk out, as the sheets, bathroom, and mirrors were all dirty, and someone's clothes and towels were still on the bathroom floor. When I went downstairs to approach the desk manager, no one was there, despite the sign saying "ring the doorbell" but the doorbell was literally ripped off the wall so there was no way of getting in touch with anyone. I left my keys in the check out box and ran, this place is scary and unsafe.
