NillFor the money, the room exceeded my expectations. Bed was super comfy, room was clean, decent size and good facilities. Only down side is the bathroom plumbing is noisy. The staff are lovely and breakfast was OK although no vegetarian option instead of the meat croissant. Plenty of tea and coffee available. The area is run down but the hotel security is good and it's fresh, modern and clean. As a lone female traveller I felt safe to be here, and I was able to walk across to Target without anyone bothering me.

Nill4 nights, wonderful sleep. The beds are some of the best we have experienced. My wife had a 91 sleep score on the final night. A big plus is that they ran linens/towels through an extra rinse and dry after washing to accommodate my detergent sensitivity. Industrial area? Yes. Close to food? There is a pickup window 1 1/2 blocks away with great Mediterranean food. Close to Sea World? Yes! Less than 2 miles and you will not find this quality anywhere near this price this Close. The homeless issue. I went for a 6am walk twice while here. I saw some homeless. I was not bothered. I did not feel unsafe. This is an industrial area near SD Health and Human Services. We were 10 minutes from dad's, 10 minutes from the beach. 10 minutes from downtown. 10 minutes from Blaboa Park. 20 minutes from East County. Excellent location. Breakfast will be much better by summer.

★★★★Other reviews mention the location. True enough. Not the best area and right next to the gentleman's club. There are homeless folks around but it wasn't overwhelming and I might say about as many as you'll come across in most parts of SAN. The hotel itself was pretty decent. I looked around an couldn't find much that wasn't satisfactory for me. It's a budget option so judge it as such. If you want a better area or more luxury, you can sure get that but you'll pay for it including much more for parking. I was happy with it when we were in town for my son's return from deployment. Easy parking. |Free breakfast options were quite good, however, the breakfast area gets VERY full with folks between 7:30 and 9:00 AM. The staff were VERY friendly. No complaints. While the area around it is not the most tourist friendly, it's a pretty decent location very near Old Town, Sea World, Liberty Station, and Point Loma.

NillOverpriced for what it was. The room itself was really nice. It seemed pretty clean, but a little run down. The location in proximity to places in San Diego, like Sea World and some beaches, was great. But, the location itself was very sketchy. There were some homeless people, but we had the biggest problem with the noise. Very early in the morning, loud construction was happening. At night, there was a club blasting music late into the night. Additionally, plumbing is loud. We could hear when our neighbors flushed the toilet or showered. Though this comes with being close to the highway, there were sirens driving by at all hours. A main reason we chose this hotel was for the breakfast. When we arrived, we were informed that the breakfast area was under construction and they were only offering a sack lunch to go… disappointing to say the least. Though the breakfast could have been worse (3 cutie oranges, water bottle, orange juice, apple danish, granola bar, and a premade breakfast sandwich) it’s not what we could’ve chosen to eat. Overall, the stay was fine, we just felt the price was a little high.

NillOur experience was good. Would've been better if front staff didn't have an attitude when I asked for clarification over pet fees because when we booked and paid for the stay I called, asked about their pet policy (beforehand) and was told it was $100 refundable deposit for the pets then when we got there, front desk told me they're charging me $90 for the stay and "ITS A FEE, SO ITS NOT REFUNDABLE". Nice updated rooms, very clean. Not great if your planning to walk around with children because of homelessness & it's near a nude bar and industrial area. Construction is going on so they are having grab and go breakfast. Didn't seem fair to give a low rating because of a distasteful attitude from the employee but will not come back. I could've stayed down the road on the beach for the same price since I paid extra for the dogs.

NillThe room is magnificent, like the pictures; a cozy bed, clean sink with great lighting, shower was good as well. Nothing wrong about the overall room. The service is great, front desk and cleaning services were good. The location is a little sketchy with the streets being somewhat run down and homeless within a 5 mile radius. The overall stay was pleasant, with little to no problems at all. Theres elevators near the back if you hate stairs

NillUpon check in the system was down. They would not check us in until it was fixed. We waited in the car for an hour. Staff was polite and thankful for our patience. Location- close to Sea World, we saw and heard the fireworks. Right around the corner from Les Girls strip club- not ideal for families. Lots of construction going on in the area so it looks unkempt. We looked for another hotel to stay in but weren't sure if we could get our points back. Room: room was clean and well made. The bed was on a metal base that was noisy when I laid on it and shifted. The mattress was stiffer than I like and the pillows unsupportive. I liked the provided shower caps and make up remover wipes. There was a microwave and fridge in the room as well as iron, ironing board and closet space with hangers. The TV was fine but picture quality was less than qreat. Whenever a neighboring room, we were on the bottom floor, would shower or flush the toilet I could hear it. I could also hear the people talking in the rooms next to us as well as when they walked by. There was loud music that started playing at night and continued until well after 1am. It made it difficult to sleep. Breakfast: renovation appears to be almost finished (Feb. 2025) they had a grab and go breakfast. There was plenty to eat! If you could transplant this hotel to a better maintained area I would absolutely stay here again but the current area, I would not stay here with a family. Close the strip club, insulate the rooms, finish the construction around the area and maybe, MAYBE, I would stay here again.

NillI have stayed in many hotels in San Diego in the last 29 years. This place is the cleanest best maintained, friendly staff. Well lite at night. Breakfast included was good. Good selection. Areas for the fur babies in the back. Room was very nice. Bed was comfy, great pillows. When we arrived there were homeless around the outside. But they were gone the next day and did not return. That is not something the hotel has control over, that's the states issues. Very convenient location as far as beaches, old town , seaport village. I can't say enough about this place. Good price and the cleanest property I have stayed at in 20 years. Kudos to the staff!
