Made the reservation way in advance with Wyndham because I have stayed at several of their properties on vacation and have appreciated their amenities. Advertised that they have a heated pool and jacuzzi. Both were OUT of ORDER when we arrived. Room smells, but is clean and updated, no road noise, and quiet. The beds are comfortable. Lobby is nice. Reserved for three persons. We got 1 bottle of complimentary water. Exterior property is dirty. …. This is for a relaxing vacation. Totally bummed… staff didn’t care! Seriously they wouldn’t even give us two more bottles of water for their failures!

I had a 1 night stay to attend a concert nearby, I arrived earlier than expected and my room was ready before check in time. The staff was friendly and accommodating. My room was clean and comfortable. Great Food locations as well as shopping in close proximity.

1 star review for a 2 star hotel at the best Starting from check in, we waited for about 8 minutes in the lobby before even seeing a single employee. Was starting to think nobody worked today frankly. Moving on from that, the parking lot is a complete disaster. Tight spaces and half sized parking spots sprinkled throughout the lot, combined with oversized trucks taking up a spot and a half makes parking a nightmare anywhere here. The room itself LOOKS nice but it’s just a polished turd. For the price you pay you would expect there to be fully functioning amenities. The bathroom is tiny and the water pressure was practically a trickle. The bathroom has no overhead venting fan(or at least not a functional one) so if anybody drops a stinker it’s gonna linger in the room for about an hour guaranteed. We decided to take the elevator at one point and to our regret ended up stuck in the elevator for at least 5 minutes. None of the buttons were doing anything so I called the office. They had someone at the bottom floor but the elevator opened on its own at the top floor so we immediately ran out of the elevator when the door opened. When we got the bottom floor we saw the employee and explained what happened. They just laughed as we walked away and never even shut down the elevator. It was clearly a safety hazard and the other elevator was shut down so clearly they are not kept up on. I didn’t even see an elevator permit anywhere. To top it all off because of the elevator issue we decided to take the stairs. The poor architecture of the stairwell led to our boy smacking his head into the water line covers on the second floor. I saw another guest hit their head into it going up the stairs as well so clearly this is a design flaw. Another small detail is that half the ice machines don’t even work with no signs saying otherwise. I would highly suggest booking somewhere else because this entire time I would’ve rather just stayed at a motel 6. At least you get what you pay for there. The only part worth it here is the location is convenient but I’d rather be inconvenienced by a good stay than be central and have a craptastic time

Justin was amazing at the front desk to help get 2 extra rooms last minute for my fiancé’s mom and friend! The rooms were clean and comfortable. The outside of the buildings might look old but the rooms are very clean. Highly recommend staying there and super close to Seaward.

For a 3 star hotel I expected much more. It's definitely a clean room with solid queen beds and they've remodeled so there's no nasty carpet. However this is more like a 3 star motel as the doors are original and the bathroom door took some effort to close and the front door let's in a lot of sound. It's a convenient location but for what you pay per night I definitely expected more.

Very clean and had no problem with my stay. The only issue was the hidden fee of the hotel parking. $20/night is egregious. Knowing people are coming with their cars to stay for the night, it felt scammy. Either put that within the cost of the stay, or do not charge. That was a terrible surprise. If I knew earlier, I probably would not have booked this location. Other than that, stay was fine.

I stayed there three different nights and two times the woman at the desk was Marina. She could not have been more helpful or nice. The hotel is extremely lucky to have employees like her. The room was nice and clean comfortable shower had plenty of water pressure more than enough towels and parking was nice and easy. I would clearly stay here again.

Evacuating from the LA wild fires was a stressful event, but checking into the Wyndham Gardens San Diego turned it into a pleasant and unexpected getaway. The room was very clean with all of the necessary amenities and more. Panera Bread right outside my door- yummy! The bedding and pillows created the best environment for a sound night’s sleep. I felt very safe and welcomed by the front desk staff who were all courteous and thoughtful to my needs. I really appreciate how informative they were about all of the restaurants and stores around the property. (Shout-out to Perla, Maria and Andria). During my stay I had the best housekeeping staff, keeping my room clean and stocked with towels and supplies. I was impressed with how friendly and helpful the housekeeping and janitorial staff are. (Shout-out to Rosemary and the other staff). When it was time to check out, I was a bit anxious to return to LA, so anxious that I left my iPad in the room that I was staying in. I drove back to the Wyndham with emotions at a level 10 panicked about leaving my iPad in the hotel room. Luckily, Sandy was working the front desk! Sandy had a responsibility to collect the necessary information from me for security purposes and all I wanted was my I-pad. With professionalism and concern, Sandy was direct yet still courteous bringing my emotions down to a level 2. I was very grateful to find my iPad in the room where I left it. Thank you Sandy! My experience at the Wyndham Garden SD was great and I would definitely stay there again when in San Diego.
