NillOn Friday, February 7, my wife and I checked into this hotel after a long evening of travel, eager to rest before an early morning flight. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the type of room we had reserved was unavailable. The front desk associate offered us a suite instead, and we accepted. AS soon as we opened the door, we were hit with a terrible smell of smoke in a non smoking room. The room was in disrepair, with carpet ripped up and the yellow stained air conditioning unit precariously hanging from the wall. The toilet seat was painted, but the worst part came when we pulled back the sheets to discover a nasty mattress and three large BED BUGS/Beatles. We were horrified. The front desk associate showed little concern and informed us that we would need to contact Choice Hotels directly to reclaim our points. As someone who spends more time in hotel rooms for work than at home, and as an elite member of Choice Hotels with hundreds of bookings each year, this experience has made me reconsider where I allocate my company's resources for employee accommodations. It was, without a doubt, unacceptable. We ended up finding another hotel at midnight with a reputable chain that we could trust to provide a clean and safe room. Below are the pictures of the "clean bed" along with how fast we checked in and out..

NillLoved this just off the main road location. It made it feel a bit more private. It was VERY clean when we went. And yes, as an avid traveller, I checked the beds. Temperature control worked. TV worked. The hallways were a very pretty blue. The only issue we had was with the Internet, and honestly, we didn't even try very hard to fix it. Hotel staff was nice. There was one gent who didn't talk to us when we were leaving, but I think he was midtask. The lady who did help me was absolutely lovely. And the check in gentleman was very personable and kind.

NillThe fitted sheet was so thin that I could see through it, and without a mattress pad I could see the stained mattress. The television screen had smears and spots that looked as if it were wiped down with a well used cleaning rag. Probably the same rag that was used to wipe the elevator doors since the doors have a similar appearance. The chair in the room appeared to be a recent curbside acquisition.

NillMy husband booked this hotel for a 1 night stay. The wait to check in was an hour long process. There was one person who half way knew what they were doing and a line of 10 people waiting to be helped. We finally got our room key. Got all of our bags out the car and went to our room. When we opened the door with our given key, THERE WAS A COUPLE ALREADY IN OUT GIVEN Room. Needless to say all parties were in shock. The maid working in the floor saw what happened and said the boy at the desk “does it all the time”! Do you realize that a careless mistake could result in someone getting hurt? We can back to the front desk. The line was even longer and there was a second line of complaints “sheets are dirty” “the room was filthy”. Needless to say we did not stay here! Then, we couldn’t get our money back because at 5 pm on a Saturday there was NO MANAGER on duty to do the refund. So we had to come back the next day just to be told the manager STILL wasn’t there. I had to call customer relations to fight for my money back. This hotel is disgusting and disgraceful! I’d be embarrassed to even work here and the poor boy at the desk was so stressed out. We booked a beautiful room at The Whitley luxury hotel (highly highly recommend by the way)

NillWe picked this location because it was close to where we needed to be. While staying here, we experienced a very uncomfortable stay. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we noticed an odor in the room, all of our sheets were wrinkled, not nicely ironed onto the bed. This lead me to evaluate the sheets to verify cleanliness and unfortunately, they were not clean. I tried to call the front desk using the phone in our room and noticed that the phone happened to already be broken and disconnected- another disappointment. I decided to walk to the front desk to ask for more sheets, and I was given a stack of wrinkled sheets. I asked if there were any sheets ironed and I was told by a young man 'that's all that we have'. At this point it was beyond my bedtime so I decided to settle for the new sheets that were given to me. When I put the new sheets on the mattress, I noticed how awful the mattress looked, uncleaned. I decided to move to the next bed and slept there afterall. Not only were the sheets, mattress, and pillows were unsanitary, the stand up lamp and couch in the room had unexplainable stains. When I woke up the next morning to retrieve my belongings, I discovered a chicken nugget underneath the nightstand... I honestly do not know how long that has actually been there, but I surely did not eat chicken nuggets myself. As I rested before checking out, an employee, an older male, stormed into my room without knocking, voicing or verifying that someone was in the room- I immediately jumped out of my bed, frightened, questioning his unannounced announcement. This made me extremely uncomfortable. Quite frankly, I was alone, and anything could have happened. I genuinely did not feel genuinely cared for or safe at this location.

NillDon’t do IT!!! This hotel has definitely taught me to read reviews before booking. This was the filthiest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The linen, blankets and pillows were dirty upon arrival. I went to ask for new linen and no pillow cases were available and the new linen provided was stained as well. The coffee machine was down the entire weekend and management knew it because they were back and forth from the kitchen area to the front desk. I didn’t even trust eating the breakfast knowing that housekeeping was trifling enough to not change bed linen. Clearly seeing that it was dirty, if that’s not giving your guest the middle finger I don’t know what is. Then I receive a email saying sorry, I don’t want sorry because it’s meaningless. Please don’t come under my review with your apologies. Save it for the next guest that will go through the same BS! Please look at the pictures posted

NillRoom was disgusting. We got stuck here due to a cancelled flight. Room was dirty, carpet had not been vacuumed, there were dead bugs on the floor, the heater did not work, it was 20 degrees outside, the bathroom light did not work, the toilet seat was filthy upon check-in. Had to wait for a person for 5 minutes at the desk to be able to check-in, no one was around during checkout. Hallways and elevators were filthy with trash laying around. Thankful for a place to rest our heads, but this place is filthy.

NillThe room was gross. It had not even been vacuumed. The sheets had hairs on top of them and in them… when I went downstairs to explain she gave me new sheets to put on but that was it… there’s also no shuttle to the airport so be prepared to spend anywhere from $15-30 depending on time of day for an Uber.
