Renaissance Concourse Atlanta Airport Hotel

I have stayed at this property multiple times and for the most part had a good experiences. Rooms always clean and the runway view was great for the kids. However, after tonights experience we will not be back and it will be a long time before we consider staying at any Marriott brand again. OVERBOOKED is what they told the family in front of us and told them they would be put up at another hotel. The next person received a room. Then us OVERBOOKED. They were unapologetic and told us that they would get us a room at another brand hotel. A move to a less desirable property that if I booked online on my own would cost less (we were paying $$ for the runway view to help my autistic, anxious flyer cope!!). I tried calling customer service and they were not helpful at all. All they wanted to do was call the hotel to verify they were sold out. No apologies, no offer to make amends in any way. Ultimately we have chosen to take our business elsewhere as did the customers that were behind us in line that were also turned away. FYI, we booked directly through Marriott, have high member status, and they could have cared less.

I had an exceptional site visit for an upcoming conference while staying at the property. The staff was so attentive and kind. We used one of the board rooms for a small 4-person meeting. They quietly checked on us at least every 30 minutes. We used the restaurant for meals and had it delivered to the board room. The food was really good! They assigned a restaurant staff person to us named Asif. He was simply marvelous. Also, Patrick from AV, Banquet Captain Theresa, Terri from sales were standouts. I can't rave enough about the treatment that we received. Sales Manager Jessica Lee made all the arrangements and should be commended for assembling such a great host team. Kudos!

At first I was frustrated because the airport shuttle people sent me to wrong Marriott renaissance at the airport. This was a big hassle and frustrating especially late at night. ||The hotel however was quite nice. It wasn’t brand new but it had nice interior around atrium. I like big hotels so this one was really big. ||The rooms were nice not spectacularly fancy. The views were the best part. I’m not sure if the other airports have such neat views. ||I thought this was really far from airport because it took longer to get to than the renaissance gateway. However when I got to my gate at the airport I noticed this hotel was noticeable by its unique design right next to the runway. ||I didn’t stay for breakfast or anything and was here from midnight to 9 am. I would go back.||Whoever runs Marriott should do better job with the names to prevent travelers from ending up at wrong airport renaissance hotel.

Breakfast buffet was amazing. Lots of options and all very fresh. In addition to what is already out, you can get a custom made omelet. Our waitress Wevelyn was so friendly, attentive and helpful. Brought a smile to all of our faces. I would stay here again just for that experience.

Shuttle from the airport was quick and convenient. Check in was great. I was upgraded (at no extra charge) as a Titanium to a "runway view" room with a balcony. The views of ATL airport are stunning - an "AV Geek's" dream hotel. The room was nice, regular Renaissance standard. I was on the exec lounge floor. The executive lounge had a good selection of evening snacks and breakfast. There was also bottled water there. The hotel is walking distance to the Delta Headquarters if you have meetings there although there are no sidewalks for about a block of the walk to the front entrance. The hotel stored my luggage with no problem. The front desk team and the lounge staff were friendly and efficient. The shuttle back to the airport was on time and quick.

Great Location, Excellent stay here 3 nights for business! Our room was spacious and clean and runway view from our room. The front desk ladies were a delight and helpful. The only concern is Lounge is always closed every time we stay here, last time renovated, and today closed until next year for a holiday.

Picked hotel for location which turned out to be a terrible choice. You have to take shuttle or uber and shuttle took 34 minutes to arrive. It is supposed to run every 20 minutes but wasn’t close to that. Could have stayed downtown and would have been more convenient. No hot water. Dated facilities. High price to pay for what you get. No idea how this place is rated as well as it is.

The hotel itself is nice. Plenty of parking, lovely common spaces, large restaurant bar area. The front desk staff is very friendly. There is plenty of parking. The rooms are in major need of an update and ours smelled very musty. The furnishings are updated but the actual room (shower, the whole bathroom set up really, etc are 80’s). We had a balcony room with a view of the runway, which was cool, but kind of loud so not for light sleepers. Worth it for a night though! The restaurant menu is large, the food is decent, the prices are high, the service is very friendly.
