Residence Inn Atlanta Buckhead

Pros: the staff was kind and helpful Cons: this is not a place I would ever recommend, nor would I stay here again. It feels very much like a motel, and it appears as if some of the rooms are rented out as long term stays. The clientele is quite questionable, and as a woman traveling alone, I did not feel safe. The first room I had felt like the floor was going to collapse and there were cockroaches in the room. They kindly moved me to a new room which was in much better condition, but again, that does not change the motel-like look and feel. The rooms are also very outdated.

Me and my family stayed two night at residence inn buckhead we were initially a bit skeptical because of the savage reviews that were posted about this hotel so we went to view the rooms before our intially stay to make sure it upheld a certain amount of cleanliness (which it did) it wasn’t as uncomfortable as some of the reviews said we stayed in the penthouse room for Christmas and we were able to comfortably eat our Christmas meal … our room did not have any bugs now the upstairs room got hotter than the downstairs the beds were hard and uncomfortable that would be the only thing that would stop us from booking here again the area downstairs was clean but the upstairs bathroom could have used a little more cleaning the staff was accommodating and were not rude at all it wasn’t the perfect stay but it did what it was supposed to do for the time we were their if you do stay here make sure to check all tvs and everything before a certain time so that it can be fixed because at a certain time some of the staff leave. Any problem we had was solved and other than a few minor things it wasn’t a totally bad experience.

I'll start with saying the lady at the front desk was as kind as any person I've ever met. I separate my experience with her from my stay. I didn't know the hotel was an old apartment complex- looking place. The pictures didn't really do it justice. I had many safety concerns. I went to sleep concerned someone would break into the room or my car. The room stank like there was a dead rat in the wall. The bathroom was ancient (cast iron tub and no room to turn around) and the carpet seemed old. A major reno is needed. The only assurance I felt was that it was a Bonvoy property and certain standards had to be kept.

Staying here for work in area. Place is quiet and clean even though it's a little older I would definitely recommend trying and will stay here in future. Also has a full kitchen for food preparation. Staff works hard to accommodate any concerns. Self serve laundry on site. There is a pool, basketball court, sitting area with a grill and a firepit too. Breakfast was great the day we tried it out. Close to restaurants and stores..

Service was great. Helpful, friendly, professional. Room was exceptionally clean - it's tired and could use some new carpet - but the housekeepers do great work and other things like desk, linens, bathroom were fine.

Exceptional Service at Residence Inn Atlanta Buckhead! I recently stayed at the Residence Inn Atlanta Buckhead, and I must commend employees Jared, Stacy, and Lashawn for going above and beyond to ensure my comfort. After a previous stay that was less than satisfactory, I was genuinely surprised by the level of care and attention I received this time. From check-in onward, Jared, Stacy, and Lashawn were incredibly accommodating. They addressed my concerns with genuine interest and worked diligently to rectify the issues I faced during my last visit. My room was immaculate, and they even surprised me with a thoughtful welcome gift. Throughout my stay, I found all the staff eager to assist with any requests, making me feel valued and appreciated. I left feeling rejuvenated and grateful for the outstanding service I received. I highly recommend the Residence Inn Atlanta Buckhead for anyone seeking a place where customer service is a top priority!

Don't be fooled by the stock photos. Rooms are dated with a slap of paint on on the walls. What I would expect from a motel. Lamp stand broken. There was a hole in the padding under the carpet. Cleanliness and maintenance could be much better to be average (air filter and bathroom molding photo). The bathroom vent started pouring with water when the person upstairs took a shower. We informed the desk and left for 2 hours to give them an opportunity to come check it out. Only to come back and be told they haven't had a chance to investigate the issue. Went back to the room and it was still dripping with water (video). I asked to be moved to a new room, the desk said there was no other rooms. After I continued to explain I needed to get ready for an event, the desk said there was another room we could use just to shower. No other service recovery offered. Just the tub upstairs must be leaking, like that's a normal thing for it to then pour into the downstairs vent. There's also a house behind the property with a dog the howls very loudly all hours of the day. Happy to leave. Stay somewhere else.

Positive: Only the location Negative: Sorely in need of updates. 90's vibe. Breakfast not Residence Inn standard. $--- + $40 charge we're disputing with AmEx. While we paid on line, they 'could not' give us a receipt for the $150 dog charge so would e-mail it. They have not. Crooked staff?
