NillReally clean rooms, the night staff was so friendly. The lobby and building was very clean. They had fresh coffee and hot water, the soaps in the bathroom smelled so nice! Honestly no complaints. This is exactly what you would need out of a hotel when traveling! We brought our two small dogs and they were very welcoming to them. The hardwood versus carpet in the rooms really makes a huge difference in how clean it feels.

★★★★We stopped here on the way down to Orlando. The hotel is newer and we enjoyed the pool table. Kind of a no frills type room and not much room to spread out but it did the job for the night. Breakfast was standard and enjoyable. We would stop here again..... just close enough to get where we needed the next day and not be exausted.

NillOur room had a jank smell, kind of like bad body odor. I’ve never experienced that before with any of the Tru hotels, so not sure what happened with that room, seems like housecleaning should have resolved that beforehand. I had booked a different room but there was a maintenance issue so my room was changed while I was en route, found out when I got there and my digital key didn’t work for the room I’d picked, and also hadn’t updated in my app, so I went back downstairs to sort it out with the front desk; not the end of the world, though not fun. Breakfast was decent, a good variety; high chairs were available. The lady at the front desk when we checked in was super sweet, and the other lady there in the morning was also nice. When we were waiting for an elevator upstairs to come down in the morning, the overwhelming smell of cleaners was super unpleasant, and it was in the elevators too…hopefully they can work with people to not overdo it with the cleaners, it’s really bad for all the guests and staff to be breathing all that in, and it’s not “cleaner” than just using a proper, sufficient amount. Parking lot was okay, not a lot of availability closer to the front entrance, but options on all sides of the building. All in all, wouldn’t blacklist this from my options to book in the future, but it was my least pleasant Tru experience, first and only time at this particular location so far.

NillOverall the hotel is great. Very little airport noise. Rooms are roomy and clean. But what made the hotel better was Kimberley, the desk clerk that checked us out. She had been around while we were checking in and she was very helpful!

★★★★Loved the hotel, it is close to Savannah downtown which is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are apparently all the same, meaning, it was not possible to get a slightly larger room to accommodate us comfortably with myself, husband and baby. Nevertheless, this is by far the best gym I have experienced so far in the Hilton hotel group with workout videos to follow. The lake view is also beautiful.

NillThis was our first time staying at this hotel as we stopped overnight on our way to North Carolina. Chemere at the front desk was very welcoming and helpful. The room was fabulous and smelled extra clean. The breakfast was delicious, and the ladies were very attentive with guest. We decided to stop on our way back home for another night. I highly recommend this hotel.

NillThe hotel was fine, the service that I received was the worst possible service imaginable. I travel 30 weeks a year for the past 5 years and this is hands down the worst service outcome I have ever experienced. A client booked a room for us for 4 nights. We check-in fine and go to dinner. Upon arriving back from dinner the front desk has deactivated our room keys and called the police to escort us off the property. There seemed to be some confusion about the booking and the GM wouldn't allow the client to come in person, with his ID, to resolve the issue. It sounded like the GM was too far away to come in to resolve it and didn't trust her staff to be able to either. The client is a diamond member and I am also Hilton Honors member and was told that I couldn't book a room myself to stay. Of all the possible ways to resolve the issue, having us escorted off the property was the worst possible decision the GM could have made. I will never feel comfortable with this hotel and makes my feelings about Hilton as a whole waver. **********update********** The hotel, in their reply to my review, stated that the client contacted them, however, the truth is that they attempted to contact the client but contacted an unknown person. This unknown person, at the wrong number they dialed, is who they allowed to state a fraud claim. When presented with the actual Hilton Honors Diamond account holder with credentials, they dismissed his concern about the room that he booked for his guests. According to Hilton Customer Service, all the information on his profile was correct. They also didn't allow me, as a Hilton Honor member with credentials and payment, to alleviate any risk for fraud by booking it myself. The hotel's reliance on "policies and procedures" in the face of demonstrably false or conflicting information is a clear attempt to avoid responsibility for their poor judgment and failure to provide adequate customer service.

NillUpon check in, Tee greeted us and was very helpful and kind. She took a big interest in our dogs and made us feel very welcome. The room was very clean, comfortable beds, pillows of multiple sizes and densities, nice toiletries and a very user friendly TV platform. Our room smelled very fresh and clean. We asked for a room facing the lake in back to avoid hearing any highway noise while we slept. There are ample areas to walk your dogs and pick up bags were provided. Breakfast had excellent fresh choices and Wanda was beyond friendly and helpful with items and the pancake machine at the breakfast bar. The fresh fruit available was 5 star with melon, blueberries, raspberries and pineapple in it. Very fresh and the melon was ripe and delicious. This was our first stay at this location at this exit. We have stopped at this exit for over twenty years on our way to and from NC and have stayed at the Spark and Town Place Suites in the past. Tru has definitely won us over and will be our favorite place from now on. Thank you for employing and training your employees and keeping the hotel so clean.
