Shilo Inns Idaho Falls

Older hotel with an older hotel smell. Very low lighting, edging towards dingy. The in-room microwave and fridge were several decades old in our room, though both worked. Beds were decent. Bathroom was clean. Pool and hot tub were great and had great hours. Bar seemed okay. Breakfast was good. The price was decent and that saved them from a lower review. Overall, nothing noteworthy but it did okay for a single night.

Our stay at the Shilo Inn in Idaho Falls was deeply disappointing. To start, the mattress was lumpy and sagged in the middle, making it impossible to get a good night's sleep. The tub was nearly rusted out around the drain, and there was a hole in the wall caused by the door hitting it repeatedly. The carpet at the entry was worn and ragged, giving the entire room an unkempt and neglected feel. The room was dark and dingy, with bulbs missing in some of the lights. To make matters worse, there was no phone in the room, which was inconvenient. The "continental breakfast" was underwhelming, with no buffet offered and orange juice that tasted so bad it was undrinkable. The water throughout the hotel also tasted terrible, making it impossible to even enjoy a glass of water. This was, without a doubt, the worst stay we’ve had since a Motel 6 back in 1997. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone and certainly will not be returning. Stay away from room #108.

Everything is clean. The pool was really fun. They have saunas but they don't work. I would have really liked to try them. It is an older hotel and it shows but it wasn't rundown or gross just older. Which i didn't mind. The pool especially could use some updating though. Overall a nice stay.

Positive: I liked that there was a bar in the hotel. The room was nice. Negative: The side door closest to our room (which was at the end of the main entrance) was locked. supposed to be open until 10 pm. Also, a used wash rag was sitting on top of our shower curtain.

Positive: Friendly, polite staff. Spacious rooms Negative: The restrooms in the pool area were severely neglected, and the building is showing signs of age. I was double-charged, and I am still working to resolve it. Service in the restaurant was sub-par.

If I could give the Shilo Inn a 0 I would. Checked in at normal time. They said that breakfast was in a sperate area. Did not say you had to have a breakfast voucher to even get one and didn't even get offered one. So went down for breakfast they said I needed a voucher and they were separate from the motel. So I went to the front desk to complain and the manager started yelling and cussing at me. And called the cop's to have me 86's off the property. Worst experience ever. If you want to stay at a place where you get treat horrible this is the place. I'll never again stay with this place again

Positive: The bed was comfortably firm. Haven?t slept that well in a while. The evening bartender was great. The overall price of the stay was budget-friendly. Negative: It?d be nice if the continental breakfast lasted about an hour longer.
