Nice hotel. Stayed here on our way down to California. Didn't pay so can't say anything about the price but the rooms were kept clean with comfy beds plus complimentary wifi. Breakfast is alright with a decent sized selection. All the staff I met were super friendly and willing to help. 😁🍁 Oh and they are pet friendly.

Nice hotel just off of I15. Room smells fresh and clean. Breakfast was hot and tasty. Included a full hot breakfast with eggs, potato, sausage, bacon, cereal and more.

The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was really good with homemade banana bread & a made to order omelette bar. The hotel is centrally located and everything is in walking distance. We would definitely stay here again.

There is no running water at this hotel in the morning. Apparently the water somehow suts down around 3 am, and magically starts again sometime in the morning. The front desk clerk hasn't thought this to be an important enough issue to warrant a call to the maintenance department. When I asked for at least a bottle of water for basic morning higeine, she balked but handed over one small bottle, when asked for two, she refused. Service is abominable. The rooms are dirty with dust accumulared and grime along walls and toilet. Do Not stay at this place. It should have a health inspector come in to close it down.

All the amenities as a Hilton, with a lower price! Comfortable beds. Very clean rooms. Great pillows to sleep on. Very good breakfast to choose from. We travel a lot and this hotel brand has begun to stand out from the rest with the quality of service and attention to detail.

When we checked in we were greeted and helped quickly. Gave good directions of how to get places. The room was ok the beds aren't the most comfortable but that's not an easy fix. The bathroom was obviously not cleaned or cleaned well. The shower and tub were dirty the floors looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a long time, the sheets and pillows most likely need a good wash same with the Duvet. Area around the hotel was easy to get around and close to the falls and many restaurants. Check put was painless and fast. For the price we paid it wasn't bad, if it was cleaner we may stay there again.

This is a rather long review, because there is oh, so much to say! I’m not a particularly fussy person, just an average, honest, working person of modest means who likes to look for the good in my daily rounds. I really enjoy leaving positive reviews for places or services, and I do so often across several platforms. I recently traveled from western Montana to the Salt Lake City area to visit family and stayed the night in Idaho Falls. When I searched for a place to stay online, I saw several options for places that were under $100, but traveling alone and not being very familiar with Idaho Falls, I decided to play it safe and spend a little more to book a nicer place. Or so I thought. I booked a room at the Best Western Plus Cotton Tree Inn. I've stayed at a lot of Best Westerns and have always found them to be a pleasant stay. This one is a glaring exception. I’m a Best Western Rewards member, but even so my member pricing for this room still came to almost $140 all in ($136 and some change). I know that isn’t a lot of money to a lot of people, but it is to me. Still, I thought it would be worth it to know I would be getting a clean, quality room in a safe area. I was so, so wrong. Whatever happened to Best Western Hotels? They used to be almost the Gold Standard. They were a bit higher priced than many places, but you could always rest assured you were going to get a nice, clean room. Apparently, that’s not the case so much anymore, though the prices are still up there. When I checked in, the young woman at the front desk was very nice and friendly and had big smiles for everyone. But the room… I found myself wondering if it wasn’t some kind of Halloween prank. It was a good sized room with a good sized mini fridge; I will say that. However, that is where the positives end. I’ll share some photos, but here are just a few of the things about the room: The pillows honestly looked like someone’s head just came off of them and like the cases hadn’t been changed for a week. The pillow photo is how it looked when I walked in - I didn't touch them. (Honestly, it was so sketchy looking that I felt compelled to go to the nearest Costco and buy myself a new pillow!) The bedspread and sheets had stains on them. The upholstered bench had numerous large stains all over the seat. The dark and dated crushed velvet-like sofa was quite worn on the arms and the seat cushions were worn and stained up as well. The nightstand beside the bed was installed on the wall crookedly so that the surface of the nightstand actually tilted away from the bed. The ‘coffee table’ was a complete mess of chips, gouges, scrapes, spots, smears, and broken corners. The upholstery on it looked like it was from the 70's and was also stained and gray with years of dirt on it. I doubt even a struggling college student would own it. And worst of all, there was a large blob of some kind of mysterious, dried and hardened reddish brown ooze in the cupboard next to the mini fridge. Everything in this room screamed ‘cheap, run-down dive’ and is definitely not worth even $70 a night, let alone $140. On top of all of this, the next morning I found that not only did the room have ONLY DECAF coffee pods in it, but that a USED coffee pod from the previous guest was still in the coffee machine. (A call to the front desk yielded that they didn’t HAVE any regular coffee pods. WTH?? In a Best Western Hotel for $136 a night, they have no coffee?) Look, I’m far from being an uppity sort, but I do firmly believe that most people work very hard for their money and should be given a decent product for the amount they spend. This hotel does not offer that. I’m just glad I brought my sample sized Lysol Spray in my toiletry kit! My strong advice is to find a different place to spend your money and lay your head if you are in Idaho Falls. The Cottontree Inn simply is not a good value for the money, and frankly the overriding atmosphere is one of “we don’t care”. Disappointing and borderline disgusting.
