Clarion Inn Idaho Falls Riverfront

Honest Review Unfortunately, this hotel was disappointing. The property is dirty and run-down, with several maintenance and cleanliness issues. The sheets had so much static they were uncomfortable, the remote was missing its back, the toilet didn’t flush properly, and the coffee was terrible. The free breakfast looked so sketchy that I didn’t even try it. The only saving grace was the sweet girl at the front desk—she was incredibly kind, helpful, and clearly overworked. Because of her, we chose not to complain, but the overall experience was not good. I would never stay here again.

This motel has been remodeling for over a year. Our room was clean. The bed was good. The heat lamps in the bath had been replaced with LED bulbs so no heat. There was no closet rod in the closet. Hot water was HOT. Heat was off and room cold when we got to the room about 6 pm and took until early in the morning to warm. We worn extra clothing to sleep in. The desk clerk was frustrated and had trouble locating a clean room at 6 pm although there did not seem to be many guests. She called the room later to check. Very reasonably priced with breakfast buffet in the morni g.

While I promised I would leave a great review, I would rather leave an honest review. The room we got was nice, modern, smelled good, etc, the bathroom was super small and designed so weirdly. There were a few other things that made this stay not so great. The breakfast was disappointing. They had stale bread, one of their drink taps was broken, I think the waffle maker was set too high, the waffles kept sticking to the maker and it would crumble when I attempted to take it off. The apples didn’t taste like apples. The eggs were made of powder(that’s not to say it’s a bad thing, but I tend to have a bad reaction to powdered eggs). The staff made it seem like it wasn’t a big deal that any of this stuff was wrong. They just said oh I’m sorry and that’s about it. Now to get to the most disappointing part. We came back around 2 to rest before we went out to dinner. I was asleep and my husband was watching a movie. There was a knock at the door, and not even two seconds after the knock, someone walked in. My husband immediately got up shouting no, get out. They didn’t even give us a chance to answer the door. They spoke in very broken English, but he went out in the hall to confront them as I was very dazed about the whole thing(I was just woken up from my sleep). They told him “maintenance” over and over again. He was on the phone with someone. My husband told him that it was not okay, he laughed and then walked away. We called the front desk and they told us, “oh they must have misunderstood my directions.” No sorry, no compensation, nothing. They told us that they had to call the men (there were three) and give them the directions again, they rushed to get us off the phone. After we had gone to dinner, we came back and I went to the front desk to ask for some extra towels and lotion, as the room was out of lotion. The lady at the front desk gave me a lotion said it was for our room, than proceeded to give me another bottle of lotion, shampoo, and conditioner, and said here is this. Just make sure you give me a great review. I smiled said okay, and walked away. I don’t plan on staying here again, they tried to bribe us into quiet. I want you to know, that if you do stay here, always lock your doors, that includes the top latch, as apparently it’s acceptable for anyone to just walk into your room. And than they will bribe you to be quiet.

Was an ok stay sheets where dirty on checking in to the room. Bathrooms are very cramped and small, breakfast was very disappointing stale bread from the previous morning very little options Had a maintenance guy just walk into our room after quickly tapping on the door while we where sleeping when I went to confront him he laughed and said No English after speaking perfect to tell me he had a maintenance order for the room when I told the front desk all they said was sorry but they didn't understand the seriousness of some random guy walking in on me and my wife sleeping

Very nice, large hotel with lots of parking. Unfortunately, I am unable to remember the clerks name, but she was excellent. The one King bed room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. The only issue I had was the was someone had taken the control dial out of the refrigerator so all of my food froze, as I was unable to see what it was set for. The next time I am through this area I will 100% be returning to this hotel.

Priced well for an overnighter. Several restaurants within walking distance. Basic fitness room, had a treadmill, which suited my needs. Hot tub wasn’t working, pool area was sad and didn’t try. Hallways smelled nasty, but it didn’t carry over into the rooms. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. A great shower and bathroom layout. The parking lot and surrounding area were well lit and spacious. Felt comfortable walking my puppy at night. Breakfast was basic but adequate. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We will stay here again.

The family that manages/owns the hotel greated us with very friendly service. Great price. The hotel and our room was very clean. We didn't plan on staying in Idaho Falls, but we are happy we did. They have a nice pool and spa. Hot breakfast was delicious. Excellent quality

First impression, no bathroom doors. Plenty of plaster & clearly trying to do more than maintenance along with other issues as you walk through the spaces to your room. How it can be above a 2 star rating is beyond me with exception of staff trying their best with such limited tools to deal with so many poor conditions. Suspect cleanliness of our room & fire alarm going off at 06:45, probably due to all the water damage seen throughout the spaces. Very poor conditions, finish your renovations & focus on cleanliness. We left a full day early & ate the cost of the 2nd night, I feel sorry for the staff to deal with this poor situation.
