La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Champaign

Positive: It has a good location right off of the interstate. Negative: Rooms were not as clean as I would?ve liked. Sheets and towels appeared stained and old. Lots of chemical smells either from their current remodel or attempts to clean from being ?pet friendly?.

**BEDBUGS** This is the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had in my life. My brother, boyfriend, and I rented a room for one night and got tore up by bedbugs. I had over 16 bites on my body alone. When I called the hotel to report the bites they told me “ nothing can be done call on Monday to speak to a manager at 10am” so I did just that. It took me over 4 calls throughout the day just for someone to answer the phone and tell me the manager left. So the woman told me she would take my number down and have a manager call me. Nobody ever did. I called back the next day upset and the lady at the desk told me the manager left. How convenient. So after threatening to report them I FINALLY got a call back and the manager accused me of getting bedbugs from somewhere else. He also stated I should have complained at check out but the bites didn’t show up till Saturday (takes up 2-14 days for a bite to appear after being bit). The manager then told me nothing can be done until a person from pest control finds a living bedbug. It has been over a week and I still have not received a phone call on an update. I did report this facility to the better business bureau and the health department. I do NOT recommend wasting your money on this DIRTY facility.

Reminds me of a motel 6 before the remodels. A little black mold above the shower. The toilet wasn't bolted to the floor. The table had old food residue on it. No bedbugs though! Breakfast seemed fine, employees were great.

It smelled!! Awful! I was all congested the next morning as a result. Also, I typically choose hotels with breakfast included, for the value and increased relaxation a breakfast offering adds to my overall travel experience. But upon arrival, there was a posting that a continental breakfast was all that was being offered due to the preparation room being renovated. But the offering could hardly even be called a continental breakfast: some oatmeal packets, few prepackaged muffins and ding dongs. Really Hostess Ding Dongs count as breakfast?!

Hotel appeared to be undergoing renovations, room and was clean, bed comfortable enough. Bathroom well lit, room itself not so much. A/c heating unit worked well but is loud, interfering with sleep. Hallway first floor is now tile which unfortunately helps amplify noise. Breakfast was advertised as waffles, etc, but was only prepackaged muffins, juice and coffee. I was told it was because of renovations. Price is too high for quality expected but not where it should be for a Wyndham branded hotel.

breakfast was included they say. we went twice once alittle after 6 and again at almost 8. NO breakfast was offered. they had a basket of store bought muffins that was stale, well the had been in the basket so long that the vacuum seal was no longer there so they were not fresh. and a empty container of coffee. THis is not the free breakfast they state of hotcakes, eggs, etc....none of that was there. meet another couple there and they also was so disappointed in,what was"the so called offering" that they were checking out and going to a different hotel. The fitness ceter is not open or unable to get to as the way to get to is covered in plastic. Which if you notice also they is no safety stops, we dont know if the stairs are ther or not. There just a sign saying we have to walk around outside to get to ft lobby at the exits. There is no signs telling where the ice machine ice is so you just wonder the hotel looking for it, so you do get to walk the whole hotel if you are like us, so I guess that is your fitness since you have no fitness center. They have construction going on in lobby and checking is awful. the girl cant hear you and you cant hear her. she finally gives up and just points to a card to tell you where to go and if you have children be aware at this time there is no elevator if they even have one, we never came across one. they had only shampoo and two conditioners,locked in place(no soap) in the shower with no bath drain stopper. Which we had came to town so our grandson could go to the hosptial a bath was a must... so having to use a wash towel to stop the tub was odd. Tub is stained /dirty and chipped I will say they did have one pack of decaf coffee in the room but no sweetener of any kind and no creamer so you could had one cup of decaf black if that is what you like...the employees teenages or kids nearby run the hallways from 145 to 4am banging the doors, walls and screaming so you cant sleep, so you dont need an alarm clock. and the outside light is about to go out so it flickers all night as an extra wakeup for you as the curtains do not block it

Positive: The location. It was very close to the freeway as well as the convivence of shopping and restaurants. Negative: The cleanliness. The bedding had spots and stains on the covers. The towels were discolored, dampness, and had stains as well as some hairs from the previous quests. It also has holes in the sheetrock in the shower

My friend, Laney, and I spent 1 night here. It was 1 night too many. Worst beds!!!! There is a bed frame sticking out several inches around the very tall bed. I'm 5'6" and ii was impossible for me to get in bed with my injured back. The only chair in the room was not made to sleep in so I tried sleeping with my head on pillows on the desk while sitting in the office chair. I didn't get any sleep. Breakfast was adequate but I missed my usual breakfast of oatmeal. The room was not clean. My service dog was picking up food all over the place. One towel for 2 people doesn't work. And, no soap??? I had an awful experience here and won't go back. This place is not up to the usual La Quinta standards. Very sad if this is acceptable to La Quinta.
